First off:
Rat Ogre is far better than an Ogre.
Second:
Make a catcher 0-2 7/3/3/8, catch, dodge. Leave prices as is. Now you've got your team.
Third:
Why would you possibly want to play humans? (Unless you're in Omerta! Omerta rules!) Humans are BORING. Yes you Buccaneers, my Ungors of Krul want to play against you! |

Ok thats it...this is the last straw..You guys have forced me to do the unthinkable.
Iam going to prove all you guys wrong. Iam going to win the GLT with the Buccaneers. Buff my team with a dark elf renegade or a dwarf long beard or a goblin. |
Yay! I'm cheering for you.
I am looking into handling money over the net by the way. Your fluff buccaneer thread inspired me, so I might make a bit.

Whaat? I think the ogre is superior. And that is not by a little. Wild animal is jsut about the worst nega-trait, bone-head is the best!

I don't like the ST3 at all.. it is cool that they are so fast. 0-4 8/2/3/8 catch dodge for me.

Is there any statistics which shows humans doing worse than intended? |

Again, plasmoids site had a lot of statistics on win ratios etc. But it's down atm.
Depends on what was intened. I just think they were intended to be tier 1 and they are.
During BBRC times tier 1 was intended to be 45-55 % winrate, and they made that as far as I know. But that is a huge interval too. It is everything from dwarves and wood elves to pro elves and (probably) khemri. |

Meh the bbrc are full of poo, that win percentage bracket is so wide and vague its meamingless. Humans are great fun to play with imo and that is all important and the reason I said they are fine. In fact I think I will start playing with them again, humans are cool
However from a fluff perspective they should be a lot better really. They should be reaching major finals often winning leagues etc and they aren't. The av or st buff to the catcher still wouldn't make this much more likely imo. But two blockers would, they wouldn't even need st4. Just 2 extra st players in the team would be huge. However this may make them less fun, individual, and cool. It's a tricky one really. |

Nonsense. RO is an unreliable injury-prone liability. |

Ogres are boring. Ergo, Rat Ogres are better. (Though not as good as Minotaurs; best big guy in the game!) |

I actually think that a small buff to catchers WOULD make a big difference in the overall functionality of the team. An 0-4 positional should be more integral to a team than human catchers currently are. That said, +1 for Garion's defense of humans in general. |

6 3 3 8 linos for 40k! That's crazy and isn't going to happen. 6 3 3 8 linos at 50k is the game standard and everything else is modified from it (no examples where this isn't the case please, it doesn't help).
Also although the catcher av buff is quite simple, it doesn't fit fluffwise and I don't think it's that much of a buff. It's not hard to make catchers blodgers, so they shouldn't be going down 'that' much anyway, making the buff quite minimal.
Personally I think they should stay how they are. If they were to be buffed I'd opt for 80k blitzers, everyone buys 4 of these anyway, so it doesn't alter the team compilation at all, and just means they bite a bit bettter at their TV. |
