The Fabulous Five
Razor Ethan The primary blitzer of Piling Razors. With 136 casualties expect him to get the coaches nod and blitz every turn a player is in range.
Razor Steve Voted 17 time MVP and accredited 86 casualties, it's easy to see why he continues to be a fan favourite of Piling Razors
Fatechange Windmaster As the only Crushers player to record a mark in all major statistical categories Fatechange is most recognised as the original enforcer and casualty leader for his squad with 62 opponents injured beyond apothecary skill to mend.
FOAB A marquise Ball Handler with over 1200 rushing yards and 59 trips to the EndZone, expect to see FOAB dashing around as explosives fire off around him.
Oly The pride of Oly1987 as his 1st player coached to legendary status. Oly was more than just an accomplished basher with 52 casualties recorded, he also built a reputation as a threat to score, stripball, intercept or even air it out with accuracy. A credit to humanity this legend left it all on the field, including his life! Oly will NOT be making a return trip home from Ulthuan!
And then there were four.... |

Well we are at the final 4 and there is only one legend still guiding his team to glory.
FOAB A marquise Ball Handler with over 1200 rushing yards and 59 trips to the EndZone, expect to see FOAB dashing around as explosives fire off around him.
Are we suprised that the only legend still playing is a +STAT monster Bull? |

The fans have allready shown up for the semi final's. The stadium parking lot if filled up with over 250,000 crazy Blood Bowl fans. The beer and wine is allready flowing. The meat on a stick vendors are running out of stock. Mechandizing, Merchandizing is going on all over the place. It is really fun being a FUMBBL fan right now.
Tickets for the double header are going for a staggering amount right now. Nose bleed is going for 2 GC. Front row endzone seats are selling for a staggering 75 GC a seat. One of my fellows who hob knobs with nobility said even the nobles are selling their seats in the stadium suite level. Want to watch the game with some lesser noble from Norsca, cost you 1800 GC. But you also get to have a open bar and meat on a stick, plus a veggie plate with good dip.
This excitment for the double header is awesome. The fans are really pumped and they should get to see two really good matches. The pulse of the fans is they dont want to see a Dark Elf VS Orc final. The reason is simple, reminds them to much of LRB4 Majors. |

Turns out that fans do not like change.
A group of renegades who call themselves the Blood Bowl Reformation group set up a stand. They advocate that CRP=Crap for Majors.
Their issue is that CRP was supposed to usher in an era of diversity, better team builds and more competitve games due to inducements. Well according to their pamphlet I just picked up from the ground. They say that CRP was an attempt to solidify the majors for the Elves, CPOMBS, Orcs and Dwarfs. That the rules did not diversify the majors but rather with the rules changes codified that only certain races can compete in majors. And that it is the same old races under LRB4 that are allways represented in the final 4 of majors.
Part of the flyer is ripped and burned so I cannot read what their soulution to this so called problem is.
Turns out the Blood Bowl Reformationist have more immediate concerns. Well it turns out their message was not well received. Mainly due to the fact that everyone at the stadium today supports one of the 4 teams. And those 4 teams come from races that the Reformationist seem to want to ban/outlaw or shun in majors.
Turns out that the fist is mightier than the anarchist pamphlet. Their kiosk was destroyed, burned, turned into a out house and the anarchist were scattered, some of them into a lot of little pieces.
Will the CRP=Crap group ever get a word in with out getting mauled, beaten up and then beaten down? Probally not. We got some Blood Bowl to play, majors to party at and fun. We got no time to debate the merits of CRP VS LRB?. Less time drinking means less time having fun and fans want no part of that. |

Nirvana SCREAMS!
The Slaan-Mages might not newtify the shadowy figure yet; both semi-finals were accurately predicted, although the score was slightly off in the elf game.
Now there is but one game left for the Ulthuan Invitational:
Atrapados en el Tiempo vs Devils Revised
Brutal Orc sluggers vs the almost-more-brutal Dark Elf dashers.
Nirvana Screams!
The Guinea pigs trample each other underfoot trying to escape the Doomwheel; falling down and rolling over and over, squealing as they find themselves still trapped on the endless grind, forced to predict the most grueling match of the tournament.
Atrapados en el Tiempo comes into this game reeling from the ferocity of C-BOMB's away! missing 3 players - 2 black orcs and a blitzer. Still, the orcs have 3 other strength monsters, and they still boast 6 guards and 2 tacklers, as well as a diving tackler, and 3 frenzied monsters.
Devils Revised comes in with 2 strength monsters, 1 guard, 2 frenziers, and 8 blodg/wrodgers. But they also carry a rookie assassin, who may have been useful against woodies, but will find his knife and shadowing ability largely useless against the orcs massive armour.
More tellingly, the Orcs come in with 290k worth of inducements. A wizard, a bribe, some babes? Maybe a chainsaw?
Without the help, the Orcs are clearly outclassed; if their inducements, whatever is chosen, manages to cover their gaps, they should be able to muscle on through.
The Dark Elves have the issue that, while bashing everything in sight has worked.. every.. time.. these orcs are liable to laugh at the puny efforts of the Dark Elves.
But the Dark Elves will remember their elven heritage; in the end, the Orcs have nothing that can combat this for the whole game, and this is it.
Devils Revised win, 2-1; only the frogs would have stopped them, and the Slaan-Mages saw them gone too early. |

What a semifinal round FUMBBL fans. The CAS boxes were full after this round of action, 17 TOTAl CAS in both games combined.
In the first match of the night the Devils just "school" Udde and it was a ho hum affair. The Darkies contolled the ball most of the night and just took it to them. Udde did have a couple shots in the first half to take a 2-0 lead and put some serious pressure on the Devils but they could not get it done. The price for failure, get beat down hard. Devils roll them the second half and cruise on in for the win in an easy OT.
The late night match, now this was bloody!!!! 10 CAS between both teams.
CBOMB was looking good early but the CAS were not falling like mana, yet. And then the game turns when MOAB has a faulty trigger mechanism and blows himself up on a failed 1DB Skull, RR back to skull for SI-AG apothed for MNG. CBOMB implodes right afterwards and basically the game was over as the Greenskins run in for the defensive TO score.
Deperation kicks in for the CBOMB crew as they are fighting for their lives. That was when the CAS starting flying. They gave it their all but in the end could not overcome the early weapons malfunction of their Bull.
There was some controversy after the match. Word is coming out that the Thrower for Tiemp was bribed by CBOMB. Their thrower in a very devious and underhanded move BH his own player during the game wiht a vicious ninja chop move over the back of his neck. CBOMB obviously did not want any of this information to come out so they killed said Thrower in a down right nasty CPOMB block that reduced him to puddy.
So we will never know if he was really bribed or if some quirk in the dimensional rift of FUMBBL occured to allow this to happen. All we do know right now is this. The thrower BH his own player, CBOMB Blew him up for a RIP and that the family of the thrower found out this morning that their bank account has 100,000 gold in it. |

As usual when a major hits the finals coaches and fans get excited about who is going to win. But also they look down the road to the next major.
Grotty Little Tournament, FUMBBLS best major, as voted on by the fans. Is up next. This year it will be held in Nuln. Last time that happend was GLT II. The unique qulaifier is the best of any of the majors and the fans just love it.
So get your teams ready and head on over to Nuln for the GLT VIII which starts next month. |

The finals are set. The fans are pumped. LRB4 Deja Vu final is ready to go.
Atrapados en el Tiempo
VS
Devils Revised
Tiempo comes into the match with 9 players, 300,000+ in inducment money and looking really upset. They need to channel that fury into some CAS early in this match. All out assault, no holds barred and throw some fouls for good measure. The only path to victory in this finals is through the CAS. So throw the kitchen sink at them right off the bat, then drop the toilet on their head and win or die by the CAS dice. Not an orginial plan but a proven one.
Revised is giving up serious inducement money and coming into the match with 11 players. They are very vunerable to the CAS so they need to avoid that at all cost. They have been winning by the CAS in the main draw but I think they cant rely on that in this match. If they try to slug it out and it goes against them they will lose. Need to find the balance between bash and elfball. They have the edge because they are elfs with their blodge and AG4 but this is not a forgone thing. They will have to earn this majors trophy.
Both teams do have some cash on hand. It would be refreshing if in the spirit of the finals they both blow all of it on inducements. It would give both teams a lot of fan support from the specs if they went all in on the inducment spending.
This match is a toss up. I can make the case for both sides but to many variables are dangling in this match.
So I will go with my "gut" on the biggest pick of the tourney.
Revised are the favorites in my book. They dont turnover they should win this match. AG4 Blodge is tough to overcome in a one game scenario.
But the "gut" says.....Tiempo grinds this match down to a nub. The CAS boxes are flowing. 4 RIPS in this match between the two teams. And the Greenskins outlast the Darkies in the closing turns of regulation and win this 2-1 in a great finish.
Once again one of the most nerfed teams in CRP, "according to the pundits", raises another major trophy in the CRP era. And on top of that an old Faction converted team to boot!! Take that you CPOMB lovers!!! |

Ran across an interesting fellow outside my posh hotel yesterday.
His name is Luxdor Quillian. He is a former rock mason who lost his govt job to austerity measures. Well needless to say he needs money.
So this fellow decided to take his talents and apply them to his favorite sport, Blood Bowl.
His kiosk has 8 diffrent styles of rocks you can purchase for the big games. They are aerodynamically designed to be thrown from the stands. They look like footballs with a lot of spikes on them. I tried a few of the models and was able to get some good trajectory from about 50 paces out.
He has this cool practice range set up in a back alley so you can try out his wares.
The base package is 5 rocks for 4 GC. It comes in a hand pouch so you can hide them from security.
He has ogre sized boulders also for sale. these things are wicked. They are a hefty 2 GC a shot but man they will do some serious damage.
He also has a special for the fans that sit in the endzone. Free 40 OZ bottles. These hefty bottles instead of being refilled with beer are now filled with nasty fluids. He says why use the "john" and miss any of the action, just use this for "relief" and then when the opposing player is high steping into the endzone, let it fly.
So far in the UI 5 players have been taken out on the goal line by these beauties as they GFI it into the endzone.
So be sure to come on down and check out this guys Kiosk. It is awesome. He also has a mail order catalog for special orders, atleast 3 months delivery time though. |
