Good stuff, guys! Especially interested in the Darkies up the top there, they come on strong when the last 3 skills drop in. And the Ogres, go brave Ogres! Very Happy

The Fumbbl table updates automatically, so here's a static version with everyone having played 2 games: http://www.thenaf.net/2015/01/rttnafc-table-after-round-2/

And some top 10s:

That doesn't make sense. How can I be 34th (in that table) with 1-1-0 record? It shows me 4 points, when it should be 3.

Easy to say when it's invariably 'on top', mr world champion. =P

Down in the impressive battle of 140th place I square off against Nicodaz - a legendary french former national who always excelled with Necros.. Well if nothing else I am looking forward to this game - though had hoped for something easier down there Smile

That's what I was hoping down in the 240s in Round 2. And who did I come up against, Mr 3rd best NAF ranked Amazon coach in Denmark? Laughing

I mean, the average result for a game on the site is about 40% Team A wins, 40% Team B wins, 20% draw, right? So in a Swiss format where all x-0-0 teams play other x-0-0 teams, we started with 254 teams x0.4 = 101.6 x0.4 = 40.64 * 0.4 = 16.256 * 0.4 = 6.5024 * 0.4 = 2.6.

To follow up on this: 45 teams started off 2-0-0, slightly above where you'd expect given the above assumptions. Could be simple fluctuation, could be coaches' natural reluctance to avoid playing for the draw, who knows. But, again assuming 20% of future games will result in draws, the average predicted result is 45 * 0.4 = 18 * 0.4 = 7.2 * 0.4 = 2.88 5-0-0 teams.

(Though two games between 2-0-0 teams have happened already in round three, and one was a draw, so that drops the numbers somewhat.)

On forfeits: I bet 6/254 (about 1 in 42) is a normal rate for the K.O. formats also. I've played less than 42 tourney matches on Fumbbl I think, and I've had more than one forfeit...
