I have a Dwarf team with two games under its belt in a private league.
The first Blocker to get a skill rolls up a double. Is it worth taking the double, or is the better bet to just go with Guard? I know Guard will definitely be helpful, but it is very tempting to not waste the double.
Thoughts? |

Block/Dodge is great on a Dwarf because he can take Stand Firm next on a normal skill, great combo. If you are feeling lucky take Diving Tackle and hope you roll a second double for dodge and then make the ultimate combo of B/D/T/DT/SF on your dwarf. |

If your league is playing "seasons" like we do in the SWL, I would always take Guard as first skill. Guard is for winning. If however the league is perpetual and has no TV limitations, dodge is always good for longevity / standing up longer. If you take dodge, look for Stand Firm next to be super annoying and use other guards to support him. |
