I found it odd to have purposed teams (esp. rejected ones) on the official help page!

Just formality though the team looks like one of the better suggestions (though Id concider reducing bats ag to 3 to not walk on the fairies shtick)

Not really that odd, there's a section for "Conceptual Races" here. And I think he means "rejected" simply in the "not selected" sense.

Ok, why did the wererats get MB instead of claw in the conversion Question
Claw may not be that effective, but that's what RSC has been converted to on ALL other rosters & it fits the fluff moreso than MB ever would on that player.
I'd say that alone will bring you the 4th rejection of this roster, but the swarm of bats will likely add to it's demise as well as it just makes no sense BB-wise.

Undead/ Necro flings...doesn't that violate one of Shadow's design rules? Not a fan of that concept myself.

I believe wererats got MB instead of claw for the same reason squigs did; RSC adds to injury rolls, allowing the creature to actually do more damage, so in a balance sense, MB is much closer than claw is - it's not perfect, but from a game rules point of view it works.

I stand corrected.
RSC has been converted to claw on MOST ALL rosters.
I still don't think MB is a fit here as this team is apparently stuntyizing the necro roster & a wererat should have claws in any case IMO.
