I'm not sure that I understand how this league really works.
Do you publish rankings? top 10s/20s?
I don't watch wrestling I'm more familiar with MMA/Boxing.
I think that when you started I suggested an Open RR approach and you were not keen.
Is Open RR what you are thinking of now?
I don't know what you mean by separating main events & mid cards. I'd say that the rankings define those. You would need to be highly ranked to get on a PPV. PPV bouts would need to be agreed between the commish/matchmaker and the two coaches.
I'd go for maybe 2.5 weeks of open play + 1.5 weeks to complete your PPV. So a PPV every month. Not sure why you need a 'season'.
As in boxing/MMA you can have minor titles like intercontinental/strikeforce to that almost everything on the PPV is for a title or is an eliminator.
If someone wins an eliminator they should be almost guaranteed a title shot.
PPV matches should be played with overtime IMO.
8 team KO 'Grand Prix' tournaments might also be cool where a Grand Prix Champ gets a shot at the main title. |

*Suggestions*
Divisions:
Main Event: Use the swiss format here and the teams would be those interested in taking on any team regardless of TV or race. I think it would work out that the top team would continually play the next in line for a title shot? I think the concern might be that the same team challenges for the title but in real wrestling, there are periods of time where two guys duke it out back to back anyway and it is up to anyone who actually wants a shot to get through the ranks to get that shot?
Training Grounds: This can be set up as an Open Round Robin. Maybe set the deadline for only a week? This could be used for new teams or >1250TV who need a few recovery type games to get back into contention |

I like the idea of this and it works nicely with the FF idea. Will start doing some recruiting to bump up numbers. |

I think it's a good idea - build up in the open RR and then back into a more structured and scheduled system. |

How is everyone liking the new format? I know its early days. But i think we have lost a fair few members with the change. Are we collectively playing less games now or more?
One more thing, lightweight is not done by TV but by AV that's just plane stupid in my opinion. |

I didn't actually realise that you were ready to start so you lost a potential recruit there.
I suppose I don't really like banding by FF and definitely not by AV but I do like a bit of open RR.
Maybe I'll have to start my own. |

anyway to shoehorn any new recuirts to the rr at this stage? sorting by ff or av is just plain dumb when you have two value systems TW and TV that give you the relative strength of a team. |

I agree that the 'lightweight' should allow non av7 teams a chance to win it and maybe just rename the division that the av7 was intended for?
also, I thought the Open RR was just for a little bit and until the way the league structure was gonna be formatted...i say lets impolement the changes and get this show on the road!!!!
**suggested format that was liked from earlier in the Forum discussions**

Looks like you´ve killed this league easilyamused, I think it might have been slowly dying before you got hold of it. But it looks dead now. Any chance of Calthor taking back over and reverting to the old style and the old rules?
How many new recruits do need we need to make this work¿ |
