Orphans

There have been many Blood Bowl players over the years that have been killed on the field leaving behind a destitute family of urchins, waifs and harassed ex-spouses. Less frequent but more significant to the Stunty Leeg are those children who lose both parents to Blood Bowl. No orphanage wants the children of two crazed Blood Bowl players as they invariably come with significant mental problems. These Orphans have been known to band together in forest forming feral bandit groups to survive. Lacking a formal education in anything other than Blood Bowl these children take inspiration from the creatures of the forest, and it was almost inevitable that they would take to the Blood Bowl field.

The Orphans discovered Stunty Leeg in the summer of 2272 as a local forest goblin tribe took on a visiting group of Chaos Halflings. Enticed by the smell of sweetmeats, the nature of which is better left unsaid, the Orphans saw madness and calamity and it stirred something in their blood. They challenged the Forest Goblins after the match and scraped a victory (possibly due to limited numbers on the other team). Thus began the playing history of the Orphans.

0-2 Grasshoppers 6/2/3/7 Stunty, Leap, Very Long Legs A S/P/G on Doubles 60k
0-2 Wasps 7/1/3/6 Stunty, Dodge, Stab, Right Stuff, Titchy A S/P/G on Doubles 70k
0-2 Mantises 5/3/2/7 Stunty, Grab, G A/S/P on Doubles 90k
0-16 Ants 6/1/3/6 Stunty, Dodge, Right Stuff A G/S/P 40k
Rerolls – 60k
Apothecary – Yes

Star Players
Tiny Tim the Big Kid 6/4/3/7 Throw Team-mate, Mighty Blow, Loner 140k
Dennis “The Scorpion Menace” 6/2/3/7 Stunty, Dodge, Prehensile Tail, Stab 180k

The idea for these guys came from these miniatures http://zenitminiatures.com/shop/index.php?cPath=21_26

Ants are the smallest kids, there to make up the numbers and to try and trip up the opponent.

Mantises are the biggest kids, on the cusp of adulthood, all hormones and awkwardness but stronger and tougher than most.
Wasps are the quickest and sneakiest of the little kids, carrying small daggers that they use to even the odds.

Grasshoppers are the energetic bouncy kids that are up for anything and end up everywhere.

Tiny Tim never left the forests after he became an adult, he is a big guy with the mind of a kid. He is the only access the team has to Throw Team Mate.
Dennis “the Scorpion Menace” is an obviously irritating player with Dodge, Prehensile Tail and Stab he is a real menace.

Feel free to poke holes at this roster. Smile

I think the team is too weak (in terms of Strength of players) overall, and they don't have speed like Skinks do to make it up. I'd make Ants S2, Wasps move 8, and Grasshoppers move 7.

Thanks for the feedback man, can't really disagree with you looking at it today with fresh eyes.

What about fluffwise, with the player types being insect names is it too similar in tone to Pygmies?

sure, but the team doesn't have anything else going for it; they'll get splattered by everyone, and they can't fight big guys effectively at all. I think it's fair.
