So, in the last game with my Goblins, my AG4 gobo is surrounded but within range of the endzone. I decide to move my trolls into better position before trying to score. Both trolls fail their boneheads then I dodge out of trouble and score. Common enough play I think. Then the hilarity begins.

My opponent say something like "Huh? You knew. You Knew! You knew you were going to roll snake eyes."

I am confused and it takes a moment to figure out what he is talking about. I answer something like. "Lol. I wanted to move them into better position before risking a dodge. It was the smart play"

His response is to the effect of "Smart play...No one moves their trolls in that situation. There is nothing to be gained. You Knew! The RNG is messed up. I play blood bowl in REAL LIFE. I only play here and other places online to practice because the RNGs are not realistic. You never roll snake eyes three times in a real game but here it happens all the time."

To be honest I mocked him a little through the rest of the match and provoked him a bit. At the end I lose 2-1. He gloated a bit when he fouled my AG4 gob out of the game late as he had "taken out my 1 trick pony." (It is my one trick pony. How many tricks do you have late in the game with gobos.)

Anyway, he has me convinced. Wink Perhaps he is correct. Wink Someone has to know the rolls in advance. Could someone please send me a copy of the RNG so I can know when snake eyes are coming? It would make things a lot easier.

I believe Spiro left his tinfoil hat behind when he departed, should be a comfy fit Very Happy

Search on the numerous previous responses to RNG related posts, the RNG is explained in depth there.

Fumbbl RNG is actually more random than dice.

Basically unless you're using casino dice (and even then, but to a much, much much smaller degree), the dice you use in real life have imperfections that can cause very, very slight weights to their rolls.

That said, a RNG that is sufficiently random for "chunky" numbers like you'd find in really any video game at all, is essentially already a solved problem.

You could get into a semantics debate about pseudorandom generators and how "true" random doesn't exist, but unless you're doing stuff like atmospheric modeling or other high science stuff that involves a ton of butterfly effect, what we have had for years now works pretty much perfectly.

This.

Unless you are using precision CNC machined dice, such as the casinos use, you are not getting 'true' randomness. If that even exists.
