Welcome to the forum thread for Season LXXX

Season LXXX
  • Schedule
    First round will begin on Monday the 13 of January with a first round deadline of the 27th of January and a round 7 deadline on the 9th of March.

    !!!Team Rebuys are to be completed by Saturday the 11th of January by 8pm. After this deadline the SWLadmin team will indiscriminately cut your team for you.

  • Structure
    We will have 1 Premier, 3 Conference and 1 or 2 Regional division(s).

    Wizards are now re-enabled as per the most recent rules update.

General Reminders
  • Axing
    PM to the swladmin FUMBBL account by 10pm Monday SWL (Sydney) time if your game has not yet been played.

  • General
    Please be aware that we rely on individual coaches to be active in checking this forum, arranging games against opponents and in communicating with Admins. The responsibility is on the coach to enquire, not the Admins to inform. Please feel free to ask any questions, anytime.

  • Communication
    Please respect each others time and reply to PMs in a timely manner.

  • BB16 Rule Ammendments
    We will endeavour to maintain our rules as close as possible to those of BB16 in regards to FAQ and Errata changes, taking into account the nature of our league.


Thankyou to everyone who participated in Season LXXIX. It seems like it was ages ago, but a huge Congratulations to Sharper for breaking through with the Bronzed Raiders. It's been fantastic to see Sharper come through the ranks and earn a much deserved Prem title. Great coaching.

Congratulations also to Sakh'Alin Tigers and Bravado for taking out their conferences. Wood Elves are running hot again, look out!

It was awesome to see such huge regionals go down so smoothly. It's great to see all these fresh teams coming through the league. Look out for Cult of the Firedreak and Druchii Dynasty after their Regional wins.

Welcome to all our new and returning coaches, good luck with the season.

RULE CLARIFICATION 1: GAMES PLAYED
As you might recall, our post-season script counts a player's number of games differently than Fumbbl. Unlike the site, we use 'Turns' for checking whether the player actually played a game or not, which means that if a player played 0 turns, that game won't count towards the player's games played total. We wanted to reiterate this so nobody goes unaware of this difference. Consider this a house rule.

RULE CLARIFICATION 2: FREE ASSISTANT COACH
During the post-season rebuy, if you decide to retire a player who wants to retire, you may hire this player as an assistant coach for free - not counting towards your rebuy budget. However, as of the subsequent season the coach will count towards the team's TV and rebuy budget as normal. To be eligible you must inform swladmin when submitting your team. This is part of the standard BB16 ruleset.
