I’ve been playing Blood Bowl since 2nd edition (the one with the awesome polystyrene pitch and end zone name plates) and have loved the game ever since. I quickly went on to pick up all the expansions (Star Players, Compendium and Dungeon Bowl) and through every following incarnation, I can easily say that it is my favourite GW game.

I have numerous teams, my first emerging from 2nd edition are the infamous Warptide Pirates – a Chaos side dedicated to Tzzentch (that was when you could have mixed race teams and Chaos were just humans with mutations). Since then I have added the Nuln Nightshades (Humans), Da Green Machine (Orcs), The Wild Hunt (Wood Elves) Loec’s Wanderers (Pro Elves) and the Great Gut Devourers (Ogres). I’m looking at picking up a couple of other sides soon – but I still can’t decide what I might get this time. I really want to give Amazons or Norse a go. But Goblins and Necromantics are also very tempting.

I only started playing on FUMBBL in August 2009 when my 2nd son was born. He was keeping me awake during the early hours of the morning and I stumbled across the website.

Playing Against Me

I like to play competitive yet fun games, so don’t expect me to go easy on you. I will be out to win. But I also try to play with the team’s character in mind. My Elves will take opportunities to score over putting guys in hospital. My Orcs will always be up for a scrap. My Ogres will be stupid …

Having said that, I am always up for a chat whilst the game is going on. I will make jokes – that’s just who I am. They might be unfunny – that is also how I am. However, if I don’t reply to your message straight away, please don’t be offended. I’m just trying to ensure my team has done what I need them to be doing before I reply. Normally I’ll get around to typing back during your turn.

I will not foul the hell out of your team for no good reason. I’ll only foul if (I think) it is tactically the right thing to do. You will not see any turn 16 fouls from me – it’s not on and normally smacks of being vindictive.

I also know turn management is a part of the game. So yes - I do drag turns out if required and if the team demands it. If I'm playing with my Elves however, you can normally guarantee I'll score if I can.

I’m here to have fun – just like everyone else. I think you’ll find me a pleasant person to play against and more importantly I won’t play like a jerk.
