I started playing BB with 2nd edition when I was a kid (you know, the one with the polystyrene board). Then later I played 3rd edition when I was at high school. My favourite team back then was always Undead, but recently I've been playing a lot of High Elves and Skaven. I'm currently running a Box Underworld team in the ARR.

I think I'm a pretty easy-going coach to play. I try not to whine and moan too much about luck and dice, etc (although, I have my moments). I tend to play the game in a competitive but sporting spirit - I like people who show some grace and sportsmanship in defeat and don't take the game too seriously. I tend to be pretty chatty when I'm playing, although I know not everyone's like that.

I left FUMBBL for several years between mid-2011 and late 2015. Partly it was due to my strong dislike of LRB5 and CPOMB and partly because I was moving from the UK to the US and I really didn't have any spare time any more. I'm now living in Boston (and there are noticeably fewer coaches playing on weekday evenings in the US time zone).

Been back on FUMBBL for several months now following my long hiatus, getting into it again and having a good time so far. I've already managed to achieve one of my former FUMBBL ambitions - to build a High Elf team to over 2000 TV and enter a Major tourney for the first time. Appropriately enough, I entered the Ulthuan Invitational and got knocked out in the first round in a fairly close game with Tricktickler's Amiga Games (also High Elves).

I'm currently playing mostly with High Elves and trying to achieve a winning record on one of my teams (without much success). I had a really nice HE team in the Blackbox, with several stat-freaks, which I was planning to enter into the Wheel of Chaos; however, a couple of very unfortunate games has seen them be completely demolished. I'll have to work on rebuilding a High Elf team in the Box for future tourneys. Would be nice to extend my singular tourney win at some point, but probably not any time soon :).

In a proud moment, my Ranked Chaos Dwarf team, Smouldering Hatred, stomped and thrashed their way to victory in the SMACK Scheduled Exp XLIX, bringing back my first piece of FUMBBL silverware. They were fortunate to receive a kind draw in the first round against Skolopender's halfling team Paulie's Pets. They then powered their way through a tough second-round game against Ryld's Iceland Warlords and into a very closely-matched final against another up-and-coming Chaos Dwarf team - Nemeton's Tour Guides. It was a tight and tensely-fought final, however Nuffle was generously lending his favours to 'Hatred and when a well-targetted fireball shattered the Tour Guide's defense and allowed 'Hatred to score a breakaway 1st half goal, it quickly became an uphill battle.

Following a long night of boozing and revelling in the blood of a dozen sacrificed hobgoblins, Smouldering Hatred pack up the wagons and set off to continue on their tour of the Old World, eager for the glory and spilt blood to come ...

Lost in the final of the Scheduled Smack VET LXIX (my first official tourney final) with my Dread Crusaders versus Fukara's Serious Injury Table. I was pleased to get to the final after losing a mummy in the first round, but wasn't able to beat Fukara's team, who were up in TS and also had The Count on their side. Hopefully I'll do better next time ...
