Well, my first game in a FUMBBL major ended in defeat, to Tricktickler's Amiga Games:

Overall, I think it was pretty close (2-1), although in the end, even with a wiz, Edlril and a bribe, the Eagles couldn't quite overcome the edge of TT's natural one-turner. The first half went well - we received first and set about trying to foul the stuffing out of the Gamers. Managed to achieve a numerical advantage and press home the score, although the OTS evened it up before half time. In the second half, it got very interesting, with TT having to play fairly evasive, due to the hypno-gaze, wiz and two pass-blockers. I thought my break had come about mid-way through, when a well-timed lightning bolt gave my AG5 linelf (Mr. Niceguy) a chance to snatch the ball and get it clear. Unfortunately, he snaked the pickup and had his head violently torn off by the ensuing MB blitz. The Eagles almost managed to get away with it again, when the Gamers failed to pick the ball up in the driving rain, but it wasn't to be and in the end Amiga Games proved to be just too strong.

So, the Eagles leave the UI with their heads held high (along with many great teams that have also been booted out early). Good luck to Tricktickler and Amiga Games in the rest of the tourney and RIP to Mr. Niceguy. I've already hired his replacement (guess what he's called..) ;) :
