Today I managed to achieve my 200th win on FUMBBL, so I think this deserves a blog entry. It was also notable because it was my first ever win in a FUMBBL major (nice coincidence!). The game was in the first round of the Black Cup with my Skaven team Nice Gnawing You vs buuface's Norse team, Children of the Storm. On paper it looked like a good game for the rats, with no tackle on the Norse side, but buuface put in a solid performance and scored two. Fortunately for me, the rats got their break at the end of the first, when the Norse runner spilled the ball and Skaven quickly nabbed it. Admittedly though, we were very lucky when Blitzer Trasher caught the ball after it had been thrown back by the crowd, then ran it in for a second TD. The rats took a pounding around the middle of the 2nd half, but managed to hold up the ball for the last two turns to take the win. We're playing Jokaero's Death Guard Legion in the 2nd round, so should be a nice, easy one ;)

I'm glad this milestone game came with Nice Gnawing You, as I really like Skaven and they're one of my best teams. Overall, I've lost a few more games than I've won on here (229), which I don't think is a bad record on such a competitive site. Especially as I try to make an effort not to cherrypick or dodge high-rated players in [R].

I'm also looking forward to the reboot of the NWL and trying to figure out how the heck to play Vamps! :)
