Well, my second team on FUMBBL has reached 100 games - my High Elf team, Valdimar Eagles! So, I think this deserves a few words :D

The Eagles are one of the oldest teams I have on FUMBBL and they're pretty much my main Ranked major team. High Elves are my fave BB roster, so it's probably not too surprising that I've gotten in a few game with these guys.

They've picked up some quite handy players over the course of their efforts. Their best player is our resident Prima Donna, Nova, who likes to tease opponents with his god-given good looks and sculpted pecs, as he effortlessly waltzes his way through their defense with the ball. Watch out FUMBBL - he's getting pretty close to Legend now, which is only fitting, 'cause he always knew he was a legend (and the elven ladies certainly think so). ;)

Other players of note are Duke Baelendor and Mr. Magoo. Baelendor is often the last thing opposing players see before they wake up in hospital - we rely on him to take out pesky opponents who try to stand in the way of our inevitable victory. I have to say, it is very nice to have a Tackle-pomber on an elf team, to help achieve a numerical superiority (to match our obvious genetic superiority). With Frenzy/Juggs, Magoo likes to 'school' opponents that stray too close to the sidelines, and he also comes in handy for the occasional 1-turn attempt.

The Eagles are still in mourning for their beloved founder, Felnor. He was a key lynchpin of the team, until he was brutally murdered by the infamous Orc Blitzer, Morose Morfug. In fact, there is still an open bounty on Morfug's head, which has not been claimed to this day ...

The Eagle's 100th game was a resounding win against Mr. Nomad's Nurgle team. I didn't tell him it was their 100th game, or he would have known that the elven gods would show no mercy! ;)

We've had a lot of other good games along the way and taken some nice scalps ;) . We're particularly proud of our record against Wood Elves (although our record against Orcs isn't quite so good ..).

The Eagles also played in my first game in a FUMBBL major last year (which was, fittingly, the Ulthuan Invitational). They also played in the Grotty Little Tournament (where we got knocked out in the first round by my good RL buddy (old school mate), ChrisRatbane), Lustrian Challenge and last year's FUMBBL Cup, where they won their first major game against Fluffy Bunny's Flying Pixies of Doom.

They're a little bit beat up at the moment and trying to rebuild in time for the next UI (despite Spiralling Expenses - grr!). Oh yeah, they like to play in the ELF too, as they like to play against a variety of different races. So far, they've only completed one cycle, but will be looking to add to that this season.
