another update
Well, talked to the property manager, and she does not have the authority to give me the statement on letterhead that I need to give to company to get my 401k, but she is going to talk to the landlord and update me then. Had to pay a partial amount, which helped, but is going to make things difficult. Hopefully will be able to get another partial payment to her, but we'll see what happens. . .

One of the main problems is that they do both a weekly (more expensive) and monthly rent cycle, and I've been trying to get to the monthly version which would be a lot less stress and problems, but something has always happened.

Hopefully the landlord agrees to give me the letter that will allow me to get to my 401k which would allow me to get to a monthly cycle and give me time to get everything worked out.

Really hope we don't lose this place, because we have nowhere else to go. But it's still up in the air . . .

Two interviews and a follow-up today for new jobs. . .wish me luck.

In our country it's considered unlucky to wish someone "good luck" directly, because you don't have anything to reply with - this goes deep into the latin meaning of fortune - especially when you're about taking on a difficult task or an exam. Literally translating, we say "may you end up in the wolf's maw", so you can reply "may the wolf die!".

After much soul-searching, I have updated and restarted the gofundme. I didn't want to . . . hell, I wish this situation would just stabilize . . .but I didn't see any way to avoid it.

Things not looking particularly good at the moment. Property manager wants to meet again. I've gone from crazy to tough but fair in that department, which is an improvement, but we will see what happens.
