My first legend
...after four years on this site is (of course) an Agility Monster, my by this time 74 games "old" female dwarf runner Rhoda:
Her twin sister Dhuna "Runaway" Mithrilheart had an equally promising start (for quite some time they even both carried the team record in fouling with four fouls), but got killed in the first recovery match after a disastrous first round of the Warpstone Opens VI.
Nine games and many more deaths and severe injuries later, Rhoda joined the Monsters. Her first game was a blast: The Monsters defeated Azure's dark elves "Azure Fire" 2-0 and saw their new runner score twice (a record that has not yet been beaten) for a total of 7 SPP. A speed boost (+MA) was her first skill roll and should be the last exceptional one as well.
Nonetheless she today manages to rule the dwarven top lists alongside with exceptional dwarven players like Sagnar Ironjaw, John Little or the recently deceased Drumin the Brave. By the time of this blog post, Rhoda is #4 active dwarven top star (all-time #7), #5 active dwarven top scorer (all-time #8), #6 active dwarven top passer (all-time #10), #4 active most valuable player.
With the late match that moved her up into the ranks of legends, she also become #1 active dwarven most valuable runner (sharing this spot with the aforementioned John Little).
Despite the Monsters being known for their quite unconventional style of play, Rhoda quickly became their one specialized ball carrier and scorer, with the notable restriction of her by far not being the only one to fill those roles (proven by her not being represented in the top 10 list of rushing players). Her (especially among dwarves) rare talent to dump-off the ball to a teammate when tackled allowed for some quite unique plays, bolstered by her - when it comes to ball-handling - unwavering nerves of steel. With her final skill, Rhoda can now be called a real "Pro".
One of her most outstanding achievements is scoring the first and the second one-turn touchdown ever performed by the team (and probably very few for dwarves overall).
The next step in her career will be leading her exceptionally strong (TV-wise, not in win percentage) team into the Warpstone Open VIII qualifiers.

On Pro:
What Blizz says is part of it. The other thing is, that a pure passing skill wouldn't have helped much, since she rarely does other passes than dump-off. And Pro might help with that, but also with many other things she does, including a lot of crazy stunts with quite a lot of rolls in a row (for example one-turn scoring). It's also a poor man's substitute for Catch. Well, in fact it's poor man's substitute for many skills (Dodge, Pass, Sure Feet, Catch). I really like the skill, helped me quite a few times.
A skill the team benefits from but not the player (Kick, Leader) would both have been possible, but I found it rather boring on my first legend (well, almost on everyone, that's why I still don't have a kicker!), Pro forms a well rounded picture.
