The XFL Nurgle showed weak participation in 2517:
Only 16 teams from Ranked and Blackbox dared to
enter one of the most brutal competitions for a title.
The TV range has been huge: On the lower end there were rookies who threw the towel after getting massacred in the first round, on the other end there were big bad boys, who got eliminated in the first game, too. However, the second strongest starting team made it all the way to the final:
That Stinks!
An ancient terror of a team (446 games), winners of the
very first XFL Nurgle (with only 8 participants, still called "Nurgle's Rotters" by that time) in 2506, 11 years ago.
And the other finalist?
They come from a variety of races and teams.
They sport legends who played hundreds of games.
They don't bow out over a couple of missing limps.
And first and foremost they hunger for a last, glorious
moment on the pitch to restore their personal pride.
It's the
Return Of The Retired!
They have bashed, fouled and balled their way to the final, using dirty tricks and rotten food to confuse the opposition. Will it work in this most important of all matches as well?
