Aaaaaand here we are. Just before the big game. SUPERBOWL
This season it will be a battle between
Irrana Avalanche from SHC and
Broekwater Patriots from KFC. I, Robbert Graaf, is on a meak 5/10 in the playoffs so far. Thats mainly because Avalanche has fool me 3 times, by keep on winning. So here we have it. The big favorite (Patriots) vs the Cindarella story (Avalanches). SuperBowl 4 is close, and non of the teams has played a superbowl before.
Both teams bring 16 playrs to the big game. No star is left out. And that is where we start, with the stars on both teams.
First we look at Irrana Avalance and 3 of their biggest stars.
1. Blitzer
Jevon Kearse has been a factor in the Avalanche playoff run. He has made 3 Cas, and has been a fearsome factor in the Avalanche gameplan.
2. Lineman
Brennan Williams has been very consistant with putting pressure on the opponent with his 26 blocks over 3 games.
3. Blitzer
Bruce Irvin was out injured in the first playoff game, but has the starquality to win this game. This is a player the Patriots will want to get out of the game as quickly as posible.
Now lets turn to the Patriots and their 3 biggest stars.
1. Blitzer
Kalil Mack has to be mentioned as he leads the Patriots playoff run in both Cas(3) and Blocks(19). A real killer who got some strenght to him.
2. Catcher
DeAndre Smelter has fast become a big star on this team, and his 3 TDs in 2 playoff games tells the story of a player that could write himself in the big Superbowl book with a couple of TDs here aswell.
3. This player could look to be an odd choice as the lineman
Timmy Jernigan is brought up here. Nontheless he takes a very important role with the Patriots as a disrupter of the other team by usually tagging one of the better players on the opponent team and stick with them in man covereage all game. His AV9 helps him to stay on the pitch longer than most other players would in his position. Avalanche need to watch out for this guy.
In my talks with both coaches I asked if they should pick out one great player on the other team, who would that be? CaptainRhino went with Kalil Mack, and Bghandras went with Bruce Irvin. It looks as both teams know eachother very well. They have played once before, and here the Avalanche won 2-1. So when asked on weakness on the other team, CaptainRhino said to watch the tape from their last meeting, and Bghandras also mumbled something about looking at an old tape to find out where things went wrong. Yours truely has found the old tape, so if you want to look back to that infamous game,
here it is!
Both coaches are obviously happy to be in the big final, but when asked about their chance to win it, the answers were very different. Patriots give themselves a 60% chance to win it, and Avalanche give them selves 6,89% chance to win. So the big favorite takes the pressure on their shoulders, as they have all playoff.
When it comes to the tactics of the game, Bghandras overspoke a bit, and told that his team was imposible to guardlock, so thats good intel for the Avalanche. But can they put this info to use in the big game?
As I said last time around when I tried to evaluate the Avalanche chance of wining, I said the fairytale stops here. I will do so again. I can't see a snowballs chance in hell that Irrana Avalanche will win this game, but they can bring shame to me once more. All good times 4 as they say. Even if they beat the Pats last time, I can't see it happen again. Patriots have learned from that experience, and will prevail here.
Patriots win
Rumour says the game could be played tonight!
