The big game. The one all franchises want to play. This is the warmup to the superbowl in DLE. If you don't have time to see the big game on sunday, then I will tell you who wins it. This season I, Robbert Graaf, am 6/10 in guessing. Getting this last one right is a big task.

This year Superbowl is between Brionne Buccaneers and Broekwater Patriots

Buccaneers have won Sigmar Heldenhammer Conference(SHC) with confidence. They beat Bilbali Rangers 3-0 in the conference final. Bucs showed who is the boss of SHC this season. Looking back at Bucs season they went 10/3/3 this season ending 4th in SHC and winning their division.
Now for the team stats from the regular season.

- 4th in completions
- 3rd in rushing yards
- 1st in turns played by players
Quite the list, and this is a great team. Bucs can both run and pass the ball. And they play a solid defence. Maybe the most important stat. Bucs players got a habit of staying on the pitch. Very important if you want to win games. Lets take a quick look at the playoff. Bucs is 6-1 in TDs and 11-6 in cas with 2 kills caused. Among those killed was Fletcher Cox of the WhiteWolves. A nasty ST5 player. Bucs can take down even the biggest opponents.

Bucs have many great players but I have picked two players to watch out for. 1st player is team captain Brad "J-Man" Johnson, who is a top runner and passer on the team. He is guy with the big decisions to unfold the gameplan from coach meanandugl. The 2nd player is a player who has evolved through the playoff to be a key player. Jason 'Kingpin' Fisk started out with only 2 blocks in the first playoff game, but in the last 2 games he has made 19 blocks causing 5 casualties. This player is hot, and the Bucs will look for him to perform once more if the Bucs are to win the big game. Bucs bring 16 players for the game.


Moving on to the counterpart.

Patriots have won Karl Franz Conference(KFC) this season. They beat Talabheim Sluggers 1-0 in the conference final. The game that last season was the endingpoint for Pats. Pats didn't only win the division, but they won all of KFC this season with a 13/2/1 record, claiming byeweek and 1st seed in the playoff. They have lived up to that and are now in the superbowl for the 3rd time in 4 seasons. Many teams want to stop that trend.
Lets have a look at the team stats from regular season.

An impressive list and this team is a great one. Pats can do anything. But they choose not to pass the ball that much. Maybe because star thrower Bortles is more a running kind of player. Pats playoff is one game less than Bucs and Pats are 4-1 in TDs and 3-4 in cas. Maybe Pats are showing signs of fatigue from a long season?

Pats also got a lot of great players, but these 2 could end up with a great game in the Superbowl Blake 'The Boss' Bortles is the prime runner. He is great at finding a hole in the defence, and then handoff the ball to another player for the TD. Pats need him to stay on the ball and stick to the plan if they want to win this game. I wanted to highlight catcher David Johnson here, as he is a great sacker and ballretriver, but he took a nasty blow and is out this game, so instead we look to Jason Taylor, hardhitting all season. He also got 19 blocks in the last 2 games just as Bucs Fisk, but Taylor only made 1 cas. Did he save them for the big game? Taylor is a former Scimitar, and one must wonder why Scimitars sold him, and afterwards didn't make playoff. I am sure there is a link. Taylor is a differencemaker. With Johnson out, Pats only bring 15 players to the big show.


The clash!

When we look at the 2 teams history we don't see much. Being in seperate conferences means they only faceoff every 4th season. We did manage to find two former clashes between the 2 sides. Both coaches are longtimers in the league. Bucs lost the Superbowl in season 1, and Pats got 2 consecutives wins in season 4 and 5. The two teams have met twice before. Both times Pats have won. first a 2-0 win, and then a 4-2 win in this season. It was Pats who hurt blitzer Michael Liedtke with -AV. Revenge in the air on sunday? Last game was high on TDs but low on cas. I predict we will see the opposite this time. Loads of cas, above 6. and only a few TDs. maybe 2 TDs for a 1-1 and the first overtime this season.

In this playoff I have learned that you should never bet against the Bucs. But the same goes for the Pats. Some of the big unanswered questions is, can Bucs great defence stop Bortles and the Pats on offence? Can Fisk keep his high level of play and be a deciding factor for his team? And will Taylor finally perform on the biggest of all stages?
Here is my verdict.
Pats Win

Looking at results between the teams, Pats got the upperhand, and even with David Johnson out it is a fierce team. That made me tilt towards Pats. The game will go to overtime. I am certain of this.

The showdown is this sunday at 21.00 servertime. Be there!
