With the team built and most of the stars already painted I started working my way through the normal players.




The same colour scheme was used on the linemen as had already been established with the stars. I did want the linemen to look slightly blander than the rest of the team as a big issue with the human team and many others is that blitzers and linemen are too hard to tell apart. Catchers and throwers usually have more dynamic poses which makes them easier to differentiate.

To this end they got less white and gold decoration than any other players. I did spend a lot of time painting the armour and was very happy with both the colour and how it turned out. Detailed pics can be seen of their back and thigh armour.








Throwers were painted in very much the same way as the linemen, they were slightly less well armoured and got more white added. Most notably to their visor and the cloth on their belt.




The catchers have very similar armour to the throwers and were painted in the same way. The only small difference being adding white to their shoes.




I wanted the blitzers to stand out from the other normal players, without overshadowing the stars.

The main change was to their helmets, I added a white stripe in the centre and painted their crests gold. Slightly more white and gold was added to the armour decoration compared to the linemen as well.



They also got the team captain, I always like to pick one player to represent this on every team. Usually it is a blitzer or thrower and I'm sure there were some house rules published in an old citadel journal about picking a captain and giving him 1 skill for free.
