Potion or Retirement?

He's the Athlete that can do 50 burpees in quarter inch dwarven forged plate (both before and after a game).

He's the Warrior with the personal chef/illusionist (after piling on an exploding rotter he refuses to eat meat, so a glamour come meal time ensures he gets his protein).

He's the Killer whose contract specifies a private suite with a 24 hour armed guard whenever touring (the damage he can do during his night terrors has long been an uninsurable risk).

He's the Legend that Orcidas refuses to sponsor (despite having more knowledge of sports footwear than most podiatrists).

Rok Hedsmasha of the Sons of Brutus has now collected a total of 684 SPP over 242 games. This puts him 1 SPP ahead of the epic saga that was the Avatar of Destruction. In the game that Rok equalled Krikack's record he suffered a smashed collar bone at the boot of a thrall, an injury the apothecary was finally unable to heal.

He could retire, he's certainly done his share and earnt his place in the records. The man himself would be the first to downplay his importance, is he really that special compared to some of the stat freaks that dominate Humanity's record books?

Is it time?

Heal him so that he may meet his death out on the pitch like a true warrior.

I would save the potion for a stat freak. But if you really love the guy...a potion is the only way to go.

+1 to Glory of an On-Field and public death.

But don't heal him. He could still suffer a number of perms hunting skinks, wood elf catchers, gobbos and flings. Make the potion cover a few ailments ;)

+1 to Jeffro's suggestion.

on one hand i say retire, as he isnt a stat freak and a rookie pomber is relatively easy to skill.

on the other, this guy is a freakin legend. Rok in 70 games, could be the all time living (not undead - debog i am looking at you) oldest player, most blocks, top blocker, and top star in the box, from all races. that would be a pretty cool acheivement. it would also mean an individual 300 in the HPL.

(on the third hand, retire so timmy can get all them awards himself!)

There's also the matter of the amazing player pic that The Murker did to celebrate Rok's acheivements. Not sure I'm ready to see it on another player yet.

Retire.

retire in honour. Did his bit. Save the apoth for a better player, or someone in a competitive division.

"Shots fired. Preliminary reports have it as the Jets making a move against the Sharks. This could escalate into a Rumble that engulfs the entire West Side!"

@PC
I really wonder why a staff member feels the urge to bash one of the site official division.
And moreover, feels the urge to do so spamming a nice blog about a legendary player.
Go figure...

should have put a smiley, it was a joke dude.
I have said before, and will say again. It is impossible to name anyone on FUMBBL that has done more to promote B and keep it alive than me. Try it.

But yeah you have to work out whether you value ruthless efficiency or fluff and fun.

Jimmy wins. But name any other?
Posted by akaRenton on 2014-07-21 13:41:30
Potion. Legends should die, not retire.
Posted by liquidorange on 2014-07-21 13:54:19
Heart says potion.

Brain says retire.

Pick which one you want to listen to, but the smart money is on retire.
Posted by Kam on 2014-07-21 14:20:45
No potion, but keep him, dammit! :P
Posted by fly on 2014-07-23 10:02:40
keep him, he will be a bait with st2. and with a few more injuries, he is a candidate for potion.
Posted by Chainsaw on 2014-07-23 13:00:50
He is not a candidate for a potion, ever.

Still, keep him until death.

People who have promoted B more than PC? Surely smallman, KenThis, even Calcium and BillBraskey? ;D
