Daz Dekkadence here, Hobgoblin Journalist extraordinaire reporting on the first 2 weeks of Non AQ conference action for our very own Southern Connecticut Bulldogs! And what a brutal start it was. Let's start ourselves off by going over the first two conference matches.( https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4183371 ) Quebec looked to be a strong opponent and teams seemed very even most of the game. Our Offensive line did the job! We got a look at what freshmen Titon Blackbeard ( https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=12983538 ) could do! An impressive first showing, and an apparent boost to develop claws after the match! Then there were our ball carriers…..look as a Hobgoblin myself, I tend to overlook my fellow hobo’s shortcomings but really, can we get some damn glue on their hands or something? Despite the strong drive our boys were unable to score. This gave Quebec the opportunity to comeback in the second half. Disappointing, however we made those beastmen pay in blood!

Then came week 2 and Paris U.(https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4186013) A heartbreaker really, for both squads. Cronic Neckbreaker racked up his first kill and slew a young starting Werewolf from Paris’ team, only for the Necro’s to take out starting bull Donner Merryhoof and the RAISE HIM FROM THE DEAD!! ( https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=13439131 )Needless to say those transfer papers were complicated. Regardless, on behalf of myself I’d like to wish Donner all the best in his future endeavors. That ontop of our current star player being out with a nap all game, The Bulldogs were not in a good place after that match.

So now there are more questions on coach MHCREED’s plate than before. How does the team progress. Down a bull centaur so early in our season and with no clear ball handler in sight my pick is to build that impressive defensive line around Titon and hope we can hold that line! And glue! We need glued gloves! PLEASE! A strong Hobgoblin needs to stand out from the pack and soon! Our next match against the Arizona Sun Devils! That Boris Settison is a monster, literally!
