Why no more TV allocation tournament?
Before u shoot me or rate me low I'd fancy tell my most recent experience.

1st Round, XNF tournament (Dark elves): My team Vypers Naggarond TV 1520 (veteran rank) vs Chasing the moon TV 2100TV coached by Jeguan(legend rank).

The final result was 1-0 for my opponent and 2 elf witches damaged. True thing the score might have been more humiliating (a double skull in T8 when TD was no more than an easy +3Roll, or a clear intention of wasting time during my posession rather than quick stealing of ball, or even a slow pace attack throughout his possesion - stalling included).

I don't complain. I've lost with dignity -I think, against a much better opponent and I congrat him for that (hopefully he will get this title...again^^). However, what sense make for new coaches play a non TV allocation tournament? What is the chance of winnning a match when the TV difference is 630K (even more a mirror)? I think, we might agree that such a massive TV difference isn't compensated by inducements.

I won't think against the goal of a FUMMBL tournament much older than me in here. But, shouldn't it be enough the skills this guy has over mine? I believe that many players are thrilled to skill up their teams everyday, working hard to get it. Everything just to roll in a good tournament where all the good stays. But all we get is our teams destroyed / big scores in a single match for a much better team that we would have never played with in a normal "gamefinder" match. And now I ask u guys, is it worth it?

You can say that same way everyone can skill up a team to 2000K, I should do it before roll me in any tournament. True...but I still recon it is worth to think a bit about it. And I found an easy solution setting teams up by TV.

BB is a "game", therefore we should play to enjoy, shouldnt we?

So my question, why aren't there more TV allocation tournaments?

...All of this for a bloody pixels^^.

Have a nice weekend fellas.

Watch the second and third game of my medium TV team in the Fumbbl CUP, sometimes magic happens; ). https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=782294

More on point: these are the tournaments most older players take out their best and most fun teams for. If, say, the Bucs were tv 2100 at some point, I would allow them to enter in any tournament, just because they are such an awesome team.

Besides, there's a minor running right at this moment for teams up to 1570 tv. So the TV allocated tourneys are definitely run now and then.

TLDR: Underdog upsets can happen, no tv limits allows for players to bring their stars, and the minors allow for more 'even' games.

Shame you got knocked out early, but keep at it!

I think the XFL tournaments have no TV limits because they are designed to see who has the best team (and coach) for any given race. So if your team is only 1600tv, they probably won't have a shot, as dark elves get quite a lot higher than that on average if played in ranked for any length of time.

So just the wrong tourney for you maybe? There are TV limited tourneys available.

Tournaments, for me, are what FUMBBL is all about. Pimp that team and enter the next major :)

There are TV limited tournaments every week. Scheduled Smacks in Ranked are done in TV bands, and Black Box Brawls in B are loosely TV grouped.

All minors have application restrictions...
you happened to play in the only one where the application restriction wasn't TV based but race based...
Game -> Tournaments -> scroll at the bottom, you'll find there is an abundance of restricted tournaments.

What PaddyMick said... I don't think this was the right tournament for your team. There's nothing wrong with entering eligible teams in any tourney but if you enjoy closer/even matches then you should be more selective with which ones you enter

By XNF I assume you mean XFL. =)
I think it's great that these allow anyone to enter one team, independent of TV. It matches the goal of the tournament, finding the best R team of that race.
As for your chances with a lower TV team: it also depends a lot on the race involved; the ogre XFL was won by a rookie snotling team once.
