“This was the team's first "normal luck" game in a while. Our last 3 since coming off an extended hiatus were all marked by wildly lopsided luck, either for or against us. We probably had the better end of this one as well, but it was at least somewhat even, with neither team being destroyed or failing every roll they make.

The one concern going in was handicaps, with 3 niggling players for Cloverfield, 2 of them key contributors to the team; a Virus would have been brutal. The actual handicaps were Bad Press (irrelevant with a 19-9 FF advantage already) and Extra Training (I had 6 RRs going in), but Nuffle sucker-pucnched FatEddie and both his niggling stars skipped the game anyway.

The first half we nearly stole the score, but valiant defensive efforts by the Carriers briefly recovered the ball, and while the scoring effort for them failed, we fell short of being able to reach the end zone in a timely manner by the point we'd gotten the ball back.

Second half was a slugfest. Both teams got bogged down in the middle while one of our blitzers carefully skirted the scrum with the ball and walked in for a T16 TD to cap it off.
