#5 Edward Vilespike – Smashed Hand (MNG)
Twice A Knight recovered well from a pitch invasion at the start of the game, which saw the entire Journeymen line of scrimmage on the ground, denying the Ogre's the chance to smash them off the pitch. Getting the ball into the hands of Sir Vickle-Smear early in the half, and early injuries to Journeymen Whitebone and Vilespike had the match delicately poised.

The Journeymen successfully took down the Ogre ball carrier on their third attempt, doing enough to spoil the offensive drive, but were unable to cleanly get the ball upfield. A snotling steal, followed by a failed GFI saw a turn eight desperation play to score the defensive touchdown. Clearbone was clearly out to prove coach Jimimothybodles wrong when he declared that "nothing ever works on turn 8".

A riot at the start of the second half was really a continuation of the raucous crowd behaviour at the start of the game, anxious to see some snotlings smashed. Hardtree delivered, but the game remained in the balance as the Journeymen failed to adequately protect their quarterback, and a daring ogre blitz saw Coldtree knocked down and out spilling the ball loose in the Journeymen's half.

Catcher Deepwing recovered the ball and found himself the focus of attention, with the Ogre's rumbling the Journeymen backwards, deeper into their half. Staying calm was key, and a narrow path was cleared just in time, allowing Deepwing to dodge away from his markers and move upfield (A failed dodge at this point could have seen a snotlings recover the ball and sneak in an equaliser). The Ogre defense rallied, but Deepwing was able to blitz and dodge through the snotling infront of him to run in his first touchdown for the season. The game was sealed.

Thanks again for the game Jimimothybodles! A few less bonehead's, a couple of dice rolls different and who knows what the outcome could have been. Nice to see you've skilled up two Ogres following our game. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

#7 Arthur – Dead (RIP)
#13 Galahad – Smashed Knee (NI)
I hired the Bomby Goblin, because it seemed more fun than babes... he had a few knockdowns, and a fun intercept and re-throw play.

At the end of the day, there weren't that many boneheads, the ogres performed as well as could be expected! The difference in this game was that the humans AG3 was marginally better than the snotlings AG3 at those crucial times.

Also it's impossible to play with ogres against any team that has any number of players with the block skill... but that's life. Good game :)
