“Receiving the kick in the snow, the Journeymen were reeling after a blitz on kick off. A shallow kick and a KO on catcher Deepwing as he lined up the catch saw the initiative lost, however Hardfield scooped up a lucky bounce and cleared the ball across to Clearhawk on the other wing.

After two deaths and two KO's in the opening minutes the Journeymen desperately tried to screen Clearhawk, however a remarkable blitz saw Clearhawk stunned, and the ball being thrown infield - fortuately by a Altdorf fan, as the ball came infield allowing Coldtree to pick up the ball and run in a touchdown as Hardfield cleared the way.

A riot followed, allowing plenty of time for the All Star's to equalise, however they were forced to score a fraction too soon, leaving time in the first half for another drive from the Journeymen. A floating kick allowed Clearhawk to take the ball cleanly right on the halfway mark, and he was able to run in the touch down to close the half 2-1.

The snow cleared in the second and the All Star's played for the win, driving the ball across the line with a quarter of the time remaining. With the score locked 2-2 the Journeymen were again on the back foot as the All Stars defense proved aggressive enough to box the Quarterback on the sideline before shunting him into the crowd. The Journeymen had soaked enough time to prevent the Empire All Star's from capitalising on their position, and the game ended as a 2-2 draw.

After playing down numbers for the entire game against a quality coach, I feel lucky to walk away with a draw. Thanks for the game Oly.”
