“Royal Rookie Rumble CCLXXI, Round 1

The slayer candidates entered the pitch for the first time, eleven promising girls guided by Zara the Slayer herself. No wonder she appeared - their first opponent was touched by evil, mutated vermin from hell!

The girls did fight, but they seemed disorientated in times. The rats knew what they were doing and scored late in the first half, without too much trouble. Alexandra was killed in the process, when she decided to take a hit instead of being pushed to the sideline.

The team struggled on offense. Zara first refused to take the ball, obviously putting the girls to the test. They failed and if it wasn't for the Slayer, the game would have been lost at the end of the second half.

In overtime the girls won the coin toss and received. However, they were distracted by a rock came from the ranks and knocked Mara straight out. The opponents took advantage and quickly secured the ball. They must have been somewhat exhausted after the long-going match though, as several of their blocks and other actions failed. Silence filled the stadium as the teams were struggling, but then one of the gutter runners finally broke free with the ball and was out of reach in the blink of an eye.

The game was lost, the girls were battered. Zara spoke to them, told them never to give up. This was just the beginning and she would be back in times of grave danger. The watchers took care of their trainees, Throweck worried about Ultura's condition, Xarogobar trying to cope with the loss of his mentee Alexandra.

They had all just been initiated.
