An abandoned match, and something of a short, sharp shock for Illumini.

Sensation received the kick-off and went with their usual game plan, passing twice and scoring on turn 2. Along the way we caused a bit of damage to the Arrows and Illumini was forced into an early use of the apo to save a death.

In reply, the Arrows did pretty much the same thing, except that they ran the ball further forward to make the pass an easier one. This gave Sensation the chance for a 1-dice blitz, but sadly the wardancer skulled it twice and so it was an easy score for the Arrows.

Reset.

This time, Illumini went with a deep defence in order to try and protect his players, but the result was just as painful and on receiving his second death, he called it a day.

It's a pity, as the game was playing out nice and fast and there was the real prospect of a high-scoring, high-passing game. But I do understand. when you're haemorrhaging players at that rate, the only way is down. Maybe Illumini might have scored another, but he was already down to ten players, and a few more turns of my punishment would have seen his chances of a balanced game reduced to next to nothing and presumably he wants to keep some healthy players for his next game.

Obviously, Sensation came out of this one very nicely (although some new fans would have been nice). I've bought a new lineman, so finally I can bin the last of the journeymen, and with a bit of luck, I can afford a third catcher after next game.

Thursdaynight managed to miss out on both the MVPs, which is a shame. Still, the rest of the team are grateful for getting a look in for once.

Sorry, Illumini. Maybe some coaches love it when this happens, but in all honesty I would rather have spared you a lot of the pain and played out the full sixteen turns. Hopefully next time will be better.
