“First match back after the Christmas break (for the woodies, not for me - I spent the holidays playing L with the kids) and they were clearly a bit rusty. Some poor passing, some terrible blocking and a tough opponent all led to a fairly convincing pasting for the lads in green.

Morg seriously injured my punchy wardancer on his very first block, KOd the second and then BH him later, and scored a TD along the way - well worth his match fee, I'd say. But the rest of the high elves could probably have coped well enough without him anyway - the two AG5 blitzers were everywhere and I just couldn't get any sort of offence going against them.

Also, despite managing 16 blocks, Thursdaynight came away with nothing for his efforts (apart from the MVP) and this really didn't help a weak passing attack that was reduced to one catcher and no wardancers for much of the game.

Still, it was a fun game and one easily-replaced wardancer was not a great price to pay for an hour's entertainment on a cold winter morning.”
