I miscalculated the position of my thrower on the first drive, leaving him in blitz range - and unsurprisingly, he ended up ball-less and flat on the floor, allowing Amistad an easy first score.

The second half was a bit messier, with some BH at long last, and the final few turns were turnover city as both teams played a bit like a bunch of orcs.

But They Pay My Bills had a comfortable 4-2 lead after the first drive of the second half, and even though we did manage to score a third quickly enough, the end result was never really in doubt.

So a loss for us, but the kind of loss I really don't mind, after a nice hard game against a friendly and skilled opponent. Excellent stuff.”
