Waqk is a pack leader of the notorious wargriders (a military rank equivalent to a sergeant) of the BLACK FIST CLANS. He was awarded a "First Spear" (Award for outstanding performance in combat). It's a tradition that at least one "first spear" is placed at the Prone Boot Kings. The Warchief decission was Waqk, as he knows about his brutality in the combat. This even knowing that Waqk doesn't like this game that much. Waqk prefer Gnad. A game similar to the polo game, but the players ride a wvyern. But as a wargrider and shamanic adept he follows the wolf as his totem. His essence is characterized by wolf. The team is his pack. He defends it by all means.
