[B] Tomb Kings
| Necrodamus the Necromancer fled the desert dunes as fast as he could. According to legend, in these dunes the remains were buried of a famous ancient elite Khemri unit, the Sahnd-Blazthars. That unit won many a battle through perseverance and brute strength, again according to legend. And that was exactly what Necrodamus needed. Such a fighting unit would enable him to exact revenge on those ungrateful citizens of the town Altenfels. Why care if he borrowed a few corpses for scientific experiments? They were dead anyway. Or at least almost dead. Definitely very sick at the minimum. He had traveled far into the desert, and finally found the spot were he was sure that the Sahnd-Blazthars were buried. At full moon, he had started the resurrection ritual. The ritual had been successful. After he'd dropped the last drops of lion blood in the sand, the earth shook and rumbled! But whatever came out of the dry desert sand, it sure wasn't an army. 11 ancient skeletons, carrying no weapons. Except for a strange looking oblong sphere, which they (clumsily) passed amongst each other while maintaining a strange formation. Disappointment led to rage, and Necrodamus had kicked the sphere as far as he could, cursing the silly skeletons. That had not gone over well with the skeletons, who broke formation after the kick, and attacked Necrodamus with unnatural vigour. It had taken skill, desperation and a massive amount of luck to escape the blitzing skeletons, and he was happy to be going back to his tower in the Drakwald in one piece. Accepting the setback for what it was, he started working on a new plan for revenge. To hell with those skeletons! They could play their silly game for the rest of eternity, as long as they did not bother him anymore! |
