Long after the forces of Chaos were driven from Albion the stone circles that helped guard against the invasion started to fall into ruin. As they were claimed by the marshes covering the landscape the remaining magic was consumed by the land, causing odd and mysterious things to happen. Stonemarsh was one of these sites, home to a particular powerful stone circle deep in the center of Albion. As the magic grew stronger in the land it attracted Fae in large numbers. They harvested the magic and used it for their own dubious purposes.

A young Truthsayer named Beloghan noticed the Fae's attraction to this particular marsh and began to investigate. He was quickly aware of the power emanating from the area. In order to study it better he traveled across the land gathering villagers, promising of a place where crops would flourish and livestock grow strong and fat. And flourish and grow fat they did, the land around Stonemarsh was so saturated with magic that all who lived there felt its effects.

Stonemarsh's warriors became the most acclaimed in Albion, able to easily slay giants and Fimir in one on one combat. This did not go unnoticed by nearby villages however, and opposing fae and tribes tried many raids to gain possession of the precious land. An elite Fen Guard was developed to stand watch over the prosperous village, and no matter how many enemies crash against their oaken shields they remain unbroken.

As time went on and Beloghan's knowledge of the world grew he learned of a sport called Blood Bowl. He knew he had finally found his opportunity to show the world the fruit of his vast labors in guiding the village. He gathered up the most elite warriors and members of the Fen Guard, as well as some Fae to actually hold the ball while the others slaughtered everything. He felt the team was missing the final piece until after months of searching he found the beast known only as "Bogdrinker" by the local legends. The fierce monster was the final piece needed, and now Beloghan has taken the Mistdwellers to show the world the power Albion still holds!
