Wurtbad Wyverns

Wurtbad is the largest town in Stirland, and also its Capital.

It is a prosperous trading town and also a regional centre for government and diplomacy. For this reason, Wurtbad College has attracted the students of many dignitaries and wealthy visitors. Many of these students play for the recently formed Wurtbad Wyverns College 7’s Bloodbowl team.

All wine produced in Western Stirland must be sold through Wurtbad, as decreed by the Elector Counts. This earned Wurtbad its reputation as ‘the wine capital of the Empire’. It has also had the knock on effect of Wurtbad College being notorious for rampant student drinking and partying, which some suspect spills over onto the pitch. The Wurtbad players are known for their daring plays, earning them the reputation as one of the craziest teams to play against. Never underestimate them. They may be down but they will fight to the bitter end.

Past players

These players have since graduated and have been put forward as draft prospects for the main DLE league teams.

A player known for his crazy stunts was blitzer Troy Savage. His dodging, sidestepping shenanigans to get the touchdowns were well known in the College league.

His partner in crime was blitzer Alonzo Talon, also nimble but more of a heavy hitter. His main job on the team was to chase down opponents and make them work to get rid of him.

Aaron Rudiger was a speedy passing catcher who was very versatile across the pitch. He could hang out in back field to retrieve and pass the ball or charge out front before the other team even knew he was past them.


The Wurtbad Wyverns major rival team is the Wurzen Rams and their minor rival is the Weissenburg Wolverines.
