Essen Exsanguinators
P [L] Vampire

In a dark corner of the world, far from what many refer to as society, pockets of civilization may yet be found. In Essen, a group live in the shadows, waging war against each other, not for conquest or wealth, but for pride and the love of the hunt. These vampires (for such they are) pit their minions against one another in intricate contests of skill, fortitude, and daring. It is from the winners of these competitions that their masters sup, being ever careful to cause no permanent injury to their prized possessions, whose blood will inspire them to further heights of creativity in their constructions.

Despite all of this selection, though, there is one contest at which their minions have been unable to excel: Blood Bowl. Too many matches have been lost, and at great cost: exquisite bloodlines, wasted on a far-off pitch. And so the masters have descended from on high to walk among them, though ever apart, and take to the field of battle. Blood will be spilt, and the world will tremble at the approach of the Essen Exsanguinators.

History

The Essen Exsanguinators joined the NWFL for Season VI, the second post-CRP season. They went 9-1-4 during the regular season, but were defeated during the first round of the playoffs by the Snarkville Smurfs. The NWFL expanded to a full 32 teams for Season VII, and the Exsanguinators improved to 10-0-4, scoring 10 TDs during their last three games to take the regular season TD record. They were again bounced from the playoffs in the first round, this time by the St. Luna Cardiac Cardinals.
