TEAM BIO Hailing from the engineering quarter of the mighty city of Altdorf the Thunderbolts have a massive following of human and dwarf alike. The Team is sponsored by BAE Systems, a proud manufacturer of steam tanks. After the hiring of so many players with mighty blow "the Hard Block Cafe" have come online too as their ethos and that of the Thunderbolts are so closely aligned. Rumours to a link with a well known potion company involved in the manufacture of brews of strength have long been denied... STADIUM The BAE Systems Arena sits right next to the river, surrounded by clanking factories spewing out foul gases and fumes. Sadly no grass will grow for the pitch, so Astrogranite (TM) has been installed. TEAM GRUDGES We hate the Broekwater "Patriots" after the death of Jerry Harris, all star quarterback, in our first game. All Star Ronnie "Nott" Lott has made a career out of CAS. He is something of a flat track bully however, and seems to mainly go for KOs and badly hurts rather than deaths or injuries. Sadly he's dead now... (press the star for more) Did you know? Local Boy Khata has become such a fan favourite that the phrase "doing a Khata" has come to mean "smashing something with extreme violence" in the Altdorf area. (press the star for more) Did you know? The Thunderbolts team colours are officially navy blue and silver, but opposing fans like to think of the silver as being grey. When they play the Patriots the team sometimes goes into an all red strip in an effort to disguise the vast amount of blood that is shed on both sides (press the star for more) Did you know? The Thunderbolts mascot was a giant lightning bolt. Sadly while performing with the "Boltettes" Mike the hapless costume wearer was "accidentally" hit with a bolt of lightning from the sky. It seems even wizards like an uninterrupted view of the nubile young ladies employed as cheerleaders.
