The season of '78 saw a tour of the old world. Victory followed victory as the Amateur Professionals from down under saw to the rabble that confronted them. The welcome home parade will be a special thing, indeed. Now just to get through this storm .... Who knows what awaits, in these southern wastes, surely a good game or two. Maybe a trophy awaits, of some description. Perhaps some nice scones at the end of the day. A nice cup of tea. A tremendous number of beers, even. Might even earn the respect of the wider community.     And perhaps even be remembered. |
