Why does this border province city have a team in the league?

The Lightning franchise is born in Styratia, a town that sits on the sothern slopes of the Black Mountains, in the Border Princes region. The council decided it was a great idea to have a team in this sport and found funds and personnel to help in the first draft.

The team that came out of the first draft was full of talent but not lacking core skills either... let's see how they fare in this first age!

G1S2: We won against the new Spurs with some swingy first half but in the end the game was ours as we capitalized mercilessly on each mistake or misdice from the opponent.
G2S2: Won against the Varghulfs after some really tense plays. First half the 5+ blitz nearly stopped us but our Ag saved the day. Second half with fewer and fewer players we exploited a bonehead and blitzed twice the carrier, forcing linos to try the dodge&pickup&pass&catch move...and the catch was failed!
G3S3: We conceded and quit the league. It's...well...no more worth my time...life!
Epiphany being that there is a winning team template (one baller, lots of guard and mb, go for removals above all) that just makes every draft league having a coach running this build boring. I get it...it wins games and more importantly it generates lots of spps while being able to protect players well) I don't have fun with or against it, not that good to go the Ag route with any success and generally being a long time I enjoyed such a game where every little distraction has a long term impact.

G1S1: We lucked out a tie with the Minotaurs. Lighting played real bad and poor CJ Mosley got injured. Need to keep our cool and play properly next time!
G2S1: Well, we tied only because the Lions ogre pulled a number on himself. Then our defence...was far too aggressive: overcommitted on the ballcarrier, he slipped away, couple of good blocks for the Lions and we were done. Next time, next time...
G3S1: Another tie. We outnuffled the Devourers in the first half and lost focus completely in the second half.
G4S1: Well, a win! Our linos blocked hard this game, but still we barely scored in our offensive drive due to a dub skull. In defence we exploited an opening and again were lucky enough to secure a TD.
G5S1: Another two-halves game. Tied the Dynamo. First half removals where ours, second half the opposition removed 3 in a turn, used apo, block after that our helf died...ah well...bummer!
G6S1: with 2 of our blitzers out we tie again...which featured some real bad rolls in key moments, like boneheads, snakes in a dodge for the OTT, skulls and stuns...could have been worse though!

G7S1: Guess what? Another tie! this time the Honeybadgers punched us for good, but a riot gave us the tie at the end of the first half, we go for a quick score and then couldn't stop the tie. One sided game from the ref PoV...pff!
G8S1: we lucked out a win against the vamps...with some aggressive defence that somehow payed off. Apo saved our playmaker from death luckily.
G9S1: coinflip. We could have forced a forfeit win but thought it was fairer to flip. We lost the flip.
G10S1: Well, thing is that such disparity in team and coaching and dice is not fun. First loss on the pitch. We didn't approach the game with the correct mindset...still...
G11S1: Couldn't force a quick score even though we fouled the LALG for good, they kept KOing our players. OTTD failed unfortunately. Second half inverted roles, result was a tie...which stops our playoffs hopes.
G12S1: A loss vs the Alchemist in an unimportant game for ranking. We get to skill 2 of our players...so very very good!
