Patton:

As one of the rare Hobgoblin legends he was playing for A Plan Comes Together coached by Purplegoo. In defiance of his fame he got retired due to a niggling injury.

Achievements as Rotter at Nurgle's service:

In his new team's first tournament match Patton proved himself as a superior ball handler: He successfully passed the ball upfield twice and grabbed it, rushing towards their opponent's end zone when it was available - easily dodging from the ogre that caught up with and tried to stop him!

Development:

Member of the team's first squad.

1st level up (game 3): Claw (chosen by former coach Purplegoo)

2nd level up (game 7): Block (chosen by former coach Purplegoo)

New scars:

Game 10: Suffered a serious concussion (-av) from a hit of an opposed Rotter.

Nurgle's Rot

Homer Simpson:

A human lineman playing for Massachusetts Mayhem coached by Kryten. Following his coach's advice he left his academy team after 45 games as an emerging star but actually never ended up on another team - until he was found by Nurgle.

Achievements as Rotter at Nurgle's service:

In the teams' and his second game he bravely put himself in the way of a charging amazon, getting stomped into the ground (he couldn't remember the girls back in his academy days being that harsh). Nonetheless he had slowed her down and Keith Marks was able to catch a leg and make her fall, thereby stopping the whole offense.

New scars:

Game 2: Hip (-MA) and collar bone (-ST) smashed by amazon catcher "Hand Model".

Game 10: Got his knee smashed (NI) by an opposed Bloater.

Skarga Blackpelt:

As storm vermin a super star of Underworld Reapers coached by Asgovic. Dismissed when the coach found out his killer vermin suffered from a niggling injury.

Achievements as Rotter at Nurgle's service:

Not sure about his future with Return of the Retired he played his first game under the alias "Tristan Whitefire". He soon discovered he was exactly in the right place and was awarded with many cheers from the crowd when he managed to pick up the ball and pass it to his future teammate Turgon while being tackled by two amazons at once. This completion (the second he had ever made in his whole career) forced the opposition to move back and was the starting signal for a fast counter-attack.

"Can't POW":

A legendary storm vermin and team captain of Team Turnover coached by fly. Accidentally donated to Nurgle instead of Nuffle while still alive (though in a bad shape).

Achievements as Rotter at Nurgle's service:

In his new team's first tournament match "Can't POW" was able to pick up the ball in overtime after Keith Marks (who had caught his own team's kick, sprinting into the opponents half!) had been knocked down. The rotting rat ran towards Fallerets3's endzone, followed by one of the human throwers who furiously forced him towards the sideline, knowing it was the last chance for his team to prevent defeat. "Can't POW" - the bloodthirsty crowd in his back - couldn't pow, but a vigorous push was enough to recover the ground he needed to run the ball into the endzone and thereby score the golden goal for Return of the Retired!

He was the first one to infect another player (Gustav Meier) with Nurgle's Disease and make him join the team.

Development:

1st level up (game 3): Mighty Blow (chosen by coach Rabe and approved by former coach fly)

2nd level up (game 8): Claw (chosen by coach Rabe and approved by former coach fly)

New scars:

Game 10: Got his skull fractured (-av) by an opposed Bloater.

Samuro:

Samuro, called "a hybrid tank/wood-elf of an orc blitzer" and "Mightiest of Them All" by his former coach maysrill, had to leave his Legion of Orgrimmar when "niggling injuries caught up with him" and his coach "retired him for the betterment of the team". The former Orc Blitzer Super Star and noble worrier was not willing to accept his faith and starting roaming the lands to find an answer - he had found it when he met Return of the Retired.

Achievements as Rotter at Nurgle's service:

None so far.

Mighty Blow

Mnemonix:

A rookie wood elf lineman who played only five games for the legendary startrek.nl coached by Rijssiej. He was fired after being seriously injured by a halfling...

Achievements as Rotter at Nurgle's service:

Mnemonix threw the first block on the line of scrimmage against "Fallerets3" and badly hurt human lineman "Exposició!", opening a rough first tournament match for the team that ended with a victory! He was punished later on by a human blitzer who managed to break the former wood elf's neck in a brawl between three humans, four rotters and the beast. His ambitions have surely changed towards hurting things, maybe he's even looking for a particular halfling...

In the team's 10th game (his 8th), right after he had learned Mighty Blow, he broke a super star Pestigor's neck (-ag) without his opponent being able to regenerate.

Development:

1st level up (game 8): Mighty Blow (chosen by coach Rabe)

New scars:

1st game:
Pinched nerve (NI) caused by Slann lineman Harry Pox in the game's 2nd turn.

2nd game:
Broken Neck (-AG) caused by human blitzer "L'Antiga!" in the game's 2nd turn of the 2nd half.

Nurgle's Rot
Sure Hands

Keith Marks:

A Norse thrower and super star playing more then one-hundred matches for Hellbound Charioteers coached by Arktoris. He was finally forced into retirement after having collected incredible eight (!) niggling injuries and an armour value drop - rumors say he had become a burden to the team.
Rumors also say he never accepted his retirement and therefor sold his soul to Nurgle to alleviate his suffering and for a new chance to die in glory...

Achievements as Rotter at Nurgle's service:

In his teams' first game Keith continued as if nothing had changed since he left the pitch the last time: When linefrog Bling Bling got hold of the ball and hopped toward's RotR's endzone, he went after him. When Bling turned towards him and wanted to get rid of him (assisted by his team mate Crox), Keith kept standing and brought the frog down instead. He then tried to pick up the ball, struggling with Crox for it. When the frog tried to get him out of the way with a frontal assault, the former Norse still stood like a wall of iron and the frog fell prone. Keith finally managed to dodge the frogs and to take the ball with him, but his perfectly accurate pass came too sudden for Angelen Hotris to catch. So Keith ran after it once more, just to find it marked by nasty linefrog Perry Hox (who had already seriously injured Mnemonix). Keith managed to pick it up anyway, but his attempt to get away was defeated by Perry. Nonetheless he has proven he still fights like Norse do!

In game 10 (his 8th) he smuggled some exploding runes onto the pitch against the team's XFL rivals. Unfortunately the opponents' presence was so disturbing he did fumble them twice.

Ember:

Once an exceptional agile beastman star of Pyrotic Hypnotic, he got banished by his coach Calthor when he had suffered a niggling injury after sixteen successful games (being awarded "Most Valuable Player" six times!). After this shocking experience he started to believe no educated chaos coach would give a second chance to a handicapped player like him. He turned towards Nurgle and into a pestigor, soon ending up with other like-minded individuals at Return of the Retired.

Achievements as pestigor at Nurgle's service:

In his second game, Ember proved his still impressive agility by securing the win with a last minute touchdown in the first half (dodge, pick-up and two GFIs needed) and one to be walked in rather easily at the end of half two. He also did impressive eight blocks during that match without failure (many of them being part of a blitz) and showed some throwing affliction with a sovereign turn one completion.

Development:

Joined the team for game 4.

1st level up (game 5): +MA (chosen by former coach Calthor)

2nd level up (game 7): Block (chosen by former coach Calthor)

Gustav Meier:

A unexperienced human lineman playing for Nuln Sewerjacks coached by Araushnar. His team was retired after it lost against Return of the Retired in round one of FUMBBL B Minor LW VII-1. Among many abandoned players and potential new teammates, the winning team found young Gustav already infected with Nurgle's Disease by Can't POW earlier in the game. They enlightened him about his current state and his future and he gratefully accepted the coach's offer to join the team.

Game 7: Missed due to a groin strain.

Game 8: Was on LOS duty at the beginning of the first half, when the kick landed right in front of him, with no opponents nearby. He got blitzed and pushed onto it, but managed to stay on his feet - and to catch the ball when it bounced to the beast and back to him! Quickly brought it into safety.

Swarthy Gardener With Dirty Boots:

The gardener was an ambitious, only little experienced beastman on Murder, They Wrote, who had just learned some dirty tricks with his heavy boots, when coach Ullakkomorko told him there was no room for them anymore "with the new rule set". Cursing the world, the young gardener sought for a more generous employer and ended up with "father" Nurgle and Return of the Retired, where he eagerly started his second career.

Achievements as Rotter at Nurgle's service:

In his first match he proved his high ambitions by regenerating twice.

Development:

Game 5: First appearance.

2nd level up (game 11): ?
