Hi there,

on Linux the FFB Client has this BottomBar when I open it. It covers the Chat input and the last few lines from the protocol on the left.

Does anyone know howto remove it?

Follow kams instructions here https://fumbbl.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=691832. If you aren't running a compiz based desktop then this won't work. Latest version of Ubuntu I went back to using a gnome 2 varient like Mate so I could continue using it for fumbbl

(In Windows) if you press the Tab key after clicking on the chat screen you can write text and then send it.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately I cant find the elements kam is talking about inside ccsm (for example the size rule tab). Any chance you could guide me here stowelly? I even changed the system language to english, but could not find the settings.

I know the issue you are talking about exactly. It is a Linux specific issue, unrelated to Garion's answer. There is a solution in my FUMBBL blog page:

I did the steps you wrote in your blog but I ubuntu tweaks wont install on my system. I even downloaded it from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu-tweak. The installation does not finish proper.

Btw. I am running Pop!_OS 19.04. From what I googled ubuntu-tweaks seems only to work with <17.04. What version have you installed?

I found a solution to my problem. Looks like Java 11 comes without Webstart (javaws) so I had to download Java 8 (which still offers Webstart) from Oracle. I then followed ultwes instructions that can be found here. The FFB Client opens now without that bottom broder bar. Thanks for your input!

Fyi the link I provided has fixes on it for all OS's including Linux fixes.

If the instructions on your blog are not included in forum post that fixed this issue could you add your guide there. Or add an extra link to the wiki please?
Cheers

I think the problem is just 'using Linux' in general. Cool
