Gallaudet outplayed Ottawa this match. Oh they had a bit of help from the dice (first turn Ottawa fouls and the ref bans the player for a stun, there were a fairly high number of KO's caused by the Deaf Bulls throughout the whole game, seen in the turns played, a Mummy removed on turn 2), but they still played it properly.

With Ottawa receiving, Gallaudet set up an impenetrable wall of bull centaurs, dorves, bull centaurs, and yet more bull centaurs. Hthark is Unstoppable, and awesome. I don't remember the last time I played against him, but damn, he was VERY difficult to deal with.

Ottawa feinted south, pulled the entire Gallaudet team with them, but didn't have enough players to safely dart north to score - and snake eye on the gfi meant huge break away moment for the Deaf Bulls. We managed to stop them, but the half still ended 0-0.

Then Gallaudet received.. and did exactly the same thing. Stomp forward. Stomp. Stomp. Stomp.

So we did the only thing we could. We antagonized Nuffle. We screamed imprecations at him.. and he responded. First, Kirill the Mummy successfully went for it twice, and took down the Almighty Joey, mere yards from our own end zone. Then Jean-Michel darted in, picked up the ball under the mighty watch of the other centaur, Everett - AND passed it all the way down to Julian Starr.

And then, Hthark stepped up to the plate. The pitcher threw the ball, and STRIKE ONE! Hthark failed his break tackle dodge away from the puny Ghoul holding on to him. And the pitcher threw the ball and STRIKE TWO! Hthark used up the last team re-roll (and successfully dodged). And the pitcher threw the last third pitch, and mighty Hthark, Hthark the Unstoppable, Mighty Hthark.. struck... out. Double Skulls against Julian Starr, and the game was lost.

Julian Starr snuck in the sole touchdown on turn 7 of the second half.

Round eight!

The penultimate round! We're up against the only team in the (very real) conference tougher than chaos dwarves -dwarves. And FRSHMN has proved his worth as a coach in the NCBB. This will be tough.

The first half saw Ottawa receive, and head north. However, the Minimen hedged in the undead very effectively, and Julian Starr, carrying the ball, decided he needed to assist in the clearing of the dorfs. Which resulted in a quad skull.

The ball bounced VERY well though, and Ottawa was able to recover and score, but they were badly out of position and couldn't stall, so turn 5 it was.

With 4 turns to score, the Minimen moved forward, but they couldn't break through the undead screen. It was also incredibly hot, and Juliann Starr decided to sleep through halftime.

The second half saw the dwarven chainsaw and troll slayer very quickly removed from the pitch. However, then 2 zombies were removed from the pitch. But an opportunistic one die blitz on the dwarf runner let the ball get popped free, and a decent screen was put in front of it.. and then William Ogilvie tried to dodge out to get the ball, and instead, he impaled himself on the ball, and died on the spot. This gave the Minimen a chance, and they broke the ball back toward the Ottawa end zone, but they couldn't complete the run; and while Ottawa tried to score a second touchdown, there were too many dwarves around, and it was not to be.

They've got a thrower on steroids, probably trying to be a proper QB. They've got a tackler to hit our ghouls, they've got guards all over, and they've got a blitzer who can run like the wind. They have 4 re-rolls, and 13 players.

Game plan: Hit them. Hit them hard. Foul them. Foul them dirty. Take ball. Hit them with ball. RUN WITH THE BALL. Score.

Repeat.

This seems like a very thought out game plan.

First half, Ottawa receives, and spreads the Hillbillies across the entire width of the pitch. A foul by the Hillbillies is seen by the ref, and frees up enough players that Ottawa can lunge north, and then play an effective stall, scoring with Julian Starr on turn 8.

Second half, the Hillbillies receive, but very early in the turn, Karla von Kill.. double skulls, and can't loner re-roll it. This gives Ottawa the break to put pressure into the Hillbillies backfield, and the Hillbillies respond by sprinting far up into Ottawa's backfield. Unfortunately, they only have one blitzer to cover the carrier, and Ottawa only needs a single GFI to 2d the ball carrier with a tackle wight Fabio. A ghoul is also free to mark the downed catcher, and the blodge wight Jean-Michel GFI's to pick the ball up, while Julian Starr dodges and GFI's to cover off any effective 2d blitz.

But the Hillbillies have plenty of players to bring, and Ottawa is limited, and Ottawa is forced to choose between giving a 2d blitz to Karla, or a 2d blitz to the Hillbillies Str4 thrower. They choose to give it to Karla, who gets double both down, and Ottawa is safe. But there are two tackle zones on the wight, who is forced to dodge out, and ends up in contact with a rookie Hillbillie catcher. But every human was marked, so getting enough assists to take down the blodging wight would be difficult. His only other option is to stay much further back, or on a sideline where even a S2 could -2d surf the wight. The humans tripped on the dodge attempting a blitz, and Ottawa was able to move the ball back safely and score, 2-0.

The Championchip is secured!

Greetings and welcome back to the Ottawa Bee Bees RANT AND RAVE!

Tonight, we're going to take a look back over season 33 and the non AQ conference. Ottawa joined this season, and, well, let's see how all the newcomers fared!

This season had 9 rounds, 10 teams, and a whole lot of brains and blood.

We start with the bloodiest team - well, the team that was shattered the most. At the end of 9 games, the Necromantic Indiana Horrors STILL had a radically low 940 TV. Admittedly, the school has made much of it's budget and funds that it has saved for next season. Instead of worrying about looking bad for new students, they simply saved up money, lots of money, and they'll entice new players onto the team, as if they were brand new!
However, they do have a lot to get over. They had a perfect 0/0/9 record, permitting 24 touchdowns while only scoring 4 of their own. They also only caused 10 casualties, while suffering 19 - and most of those were early in the season. The team lost both a zombie, and a Werewolf - very hard to recover from such a hit so early. They only managed to snag 87 SPP, for a total of 8 skills including a single double. 3 of their players are experienced, two are rookies, and the rest are novices. They have a few injuries, including a wight who they may let go of, as the team has enough funds to fill out the line even with that. But coach Ganthony has also spoken regularly about wanting more team re-rolls - training makes perfect! We'll have to see how they do, as they can only go up from here.

Next up, we have UMass Minimen. These Dwarves were coached by FRSHMN as he and rival coach Xeterog tried to prove that they could crush each other, despite having a team in the main conferences as well - so they swapped races! When they finally managed to meet up, the titanic conclusion to this challenge.. was a draw. UMass ended with a 2/2/5 record, and they allowed only 12 touchdowns.. but only scored 8. They suffered an extremely mild 7 casaulties (no deaths!), and caused 16 in return, but still only ended with 1360 TV.
The team collected 110 SPP, which led to 10 skills (including a ST and an AG!) but they only ended the season with 2 experienced players, and 6 rookies. 2 of the rookies are also injured, and while the -MA Blocker is probably going to stick around, it's hard to imagine that a dwarf coach would keep a Blitzer with -ST! They hate goblins! But both injuries are on their big hitters, so we'll have to see what the coach does, if and when the team gets another chance to take to the pitch. Still, every player from the season made it to the end, which is very impressive.

Third on the list is actually two different teams. Coach Bazakastine led the Texas AM Aggros, a Chaos Dwarf team led by the mighty Minotaur Justin Madui.. oh. He died. Wait, he got replaced.. and missed games.. and fouled.. and punched. And hell, that Minotaur just did not have a good run of games! Then the coach got sick, and they had to leave the conference with a 3/1/2 record, scoring 9 touchdowns and allowing 7, only causing 6 casualties while they suffered a whopping 15 (including 3 deaths!)!
The team collected 60 SPP in that time, plus another 5 from dead players, but only managed 6 normal skills. 4 rookies and an experienced bull. We don't think this team will recover sadly. The players who didn't make it even this far were the captain Minotaur, a Chaos Dwarf Blocker, and one of their Journeyman Hobgoblins actually transferred mid-match to the Ottawa Bee Bees.
Their early retirement also allowed coach Garcangel to bring in some cheating wood elves, the Fayetteville Bronchospasms. They had a 3/0/0 record, and absolutely messed up some of the other teams seasons, and they collected 6 skills while they did it - including a double and a ST! In the very short time they were there, they also lost both a Catcher and a Lineelf.

The other half of the Xeterog / FRSHMN rivalry was the Sham Howstan Ratz. These Skaven managed to pull out a 3/4/2 record, and they both scored and gave away 17 touchdowns. They suffered 15 casualties (also having 3 deaths!), and caused 12 of their own, but still managed 1460 TV. These rats have the first of the Veteran players of the non AQ, a gutter runner by the name of Zort. This gutter has Side Step, Block, and of course, +MA. If the team gets to continue in the future, this speedy cheese ball will definitely frustrate many opposing coaches!
The Ratz built up 125 SPP, and lost a further 4. Their losses included a Gutter Runner and 2 Linerats. They have 11 learned skills, including 2 doubles, the +MA gutter, and a +AG gutter. In addition to Zort the veteran already mentioned, they have 3 experienced players and 2 rookies. A very tasty lineup indeed! But like his rival, Xeterog intends to continue playing his primary NCBB team.

The Hawaii Warrielves. What a team. I'm not sure what to say abou.. oh who am I kidding. This Pro Elf team likes to pass. They passed a billion times, and passed a billion more. It didn't always work out too well, but when it did, they won! By Passing! The 4/0/5 record speaks for itself. They ended with 1300 TV and they scored 12 times, and allowed 15 in return. They suffered 23 (!) casualties with 4 of those being deaths, and they only caused 11 back.
The team scraped up 124 SPP, and lost a further 6. They lost 1 catcher, and 5 Linemen - including 1 Linemen who also decided to desert his school mid game and join the Ottawa Bee Bees! (Also note: Once on the Bee Bees, this guy only played 8 turns, got KO'd twice, and got cas-ed twice, and was retired. Pro Elves don't seem to cut it with that school either!) They have 12 skills including 2 doubles. 5 experienced elves, and 2 rookies. Their thrower Zach Daniel managed 21 completions in the season, at least 1 in every match! This will be a team to keep an eye on.. if only to make sure a stray ball doesn't hit you in the back of the head!

Now we reach the second Skaven team, the Toledo Radrockets. This team also had a 4/0/5 record, and barely made it up to 1230 TV. They scored 13 times and only allowed 12 touchdowns! Positive! They took 16 casualties including 1 death, and caused 14 in revenge.
The team ended with 102 SPP, but lost 17 more! They finished with 9 skills including 1 +MA and 2 doubles. They also lost 2 normal and 1 double skill. Their team includes 2 experienced players, and 5 rookies. The team is fast, and definitely wants to go places! But they also lost 2 gutter runners, a thrower, and 2 linemen. Will that slow them down? We'll keep a sharp lookout for these Skaven to make a name!

Now the Humans. Humans in Blood Bowl! Who would have thought it? Oh well, they actually did very well in the beginning of the season; then they got tripped up by the Wood Elves and the rest is history. The Appalahcian State Hillbillies ended at 1320 TV, with a record of 4/1/4, after allowing 13 touchdowns and scoring 10 themselves. They suffered 15 casualties but 5 of them were death! They also dished out 13 casualties as well.
Coach Waaaghafalga and his humans collected 93 SPP (and lost another 3 as well), resulting in 9 skills (including 1 +ST and 1 +MA). They have 1 experienced player and 7 rookies. They also lost 2 catchers and 4 linemen. The team went against Ottawa in the 9th round, playing out for the non AQ Championchip - their pride never submitted! One of their players did though, choosing to end the game on the side of Ottawa! They fly the flags for humanity in the league, and they fly them proudly! This up and coming team will be one to keep tabs on in the coming years.

Now we come to the bullies of the non AQ. These Chaos Dwarves racked up a total of 31 casualties in their debut season (think: no mighty blow!) and only suffered 8 in return, although 2 of those were deaths. The Gallaudet Deaf Bulls were absolutely brutal. But brutality doesn't guarantee wins. They came in with a 4/2/3 record, ending at 1390 TV (rather low considering their cas delta). They also only scored 11 times - but their bloodthirsty tendencies meant they only gave up 8 to their opponents.
Coach Sergtacos led the team to 135 SPP, and not one drop was lost. They did lose 2 chaos dwarf blockers and a hobgoblin runner though. But they finished with 10 skills including 1 +AG and 1 +MA. And both stat increases were on the same bull centaur: Joey Mendis, the most skilled player of the non-AQ. He ended the season with a whopping 49 SPP, including 4 MVPs and an NCBB leading 9 touchdowns. The team also has 2 other experienced players and 3 rookies.

Our penultimate team is UW - Whitewater Warfrogs. This Slann team led by rodney_dangerfield was crazy. They leaped and dodged everywhere, rolling dice, and blessing Nuffle every moment of the way - and they made it work. A 5/1/3 record was the result, and the team managed to end at 1500 TV despite massive losses. They suffered 19 casualties -3 dead- and only caused 9. But they scored a conference leading 17 touchdowns and only permitted 10.
The team racked up 101 SPP despite losing 24 more. They have 11 skills including 1 MA 1 ST and 2 doubles. They lost 2 doubles and a normal on top of that. That came from losing an experienced catcher and 4 linefrogs. They still have 2 experienced players and 7 rookies. This team will be a blast to watch, as they recklessly try for every possible play - and succeed more often than not.

The final team of the conference is the Ottawa Bee Bees. The Undead team wasn't even supposed to be a team - they just collected specimens, from every school they could! But one day, a commentator said 'and here are the challengers, from Ottawa!' and they just couldn't back down. Coach Nelphine led them to a 7/1/1 record with a massive 1760 TV, and they scored 16 touchdowns while only giving up a conference leading 6 in return! They caused 22 casualties and received 11 -1 dead- as well.
The team earned the most SPP at 141 but they lost 9 of those ending at 132. +ST Ghoul Julian Starr also had the NCBB leading 9 touchdowns, and had the most non mvp SPP in the conference at 33 (plus 1 MVP brought him to a total of 38 SPP). The team has 13 other skills including a second +STR and 2 doubles. These are on 3 experienced players and 5 rookies. They also lost 1 normal skill, as they lost 1 ghoul and 1 zombie. Ottawa has come to take the brains and blood of the NCBB by force!

Season 33 Bowl Games are here!

Ottawa managed to pull off a match!

Image
DedEx Orange Bowl: UC San Dogo Krytens (5-1-1) vs Ottawa Bee-Bees (7-1-1)

This match looks very promising. Undead have more dodge than High Elves!

Waaaaait.

High Elves have more guard than Undead.

Um.

They've also got as many players who have learned mighty blow as Ottawa!

This is going to be painful. But they have no throwers! Elves with no throwers! CLEARLY a weakness to be played on - elves can't RUN!

UCSD have the advantage of skill; Ottawa has the advantage of brute force, particularly raw strength of their players. If Ottawa can get the ball, they can probably hold onto it; but, elves will still elf, and they can nip around and harass the ball all they want with all their side step and guard. Dropped balls are likely to go to UCSD.

Hold on to your hats! Its gonna be an ORANGE BOWL!

The Orange Bowl this year was caused by the undead ichor flowing out of our gray and garnet uniforms. In the sweltering heat, the ichor made the sand run orange, and so we had an ORANGE BOWL!

We bribed the ref for this match, in an effort to make our Bowl debut historic!

Nuffle stole it from us. All 4 of our strength 4+ players were removed from the pitch, fairly quickly. The elves smashed and bashed, and the undead suffered, and there was little we could do. Images of a pitch clear were running through our head - but we kept 3 on the pitch! AHAHAHA.

But on turn 15, we managed to get a cas! Yeah! TAKE THAT NUFFLE

However, despite all the hits the elves dished out (1 death, 1 -Str, 2 niggles), our regen was on fire. So we did not lose both mummies, our str 4 zombie and another zombie.

We also did not lose any ghouls.

We also ended both halves with re-rolls remaining. When Nuffle wanted us out, it wasn't due to a constant flow of 1's. It was just 'fail, no chance to re-roll'.

But the Bee-Bees look forward now to Season 34. We shall return with a vengeance!

The bad dice were flowing freely, but mine mostly were re-roll-able. I burned all my RRs early in both halves, but it was worth it.

With the official season announcement, even before the team and coach have prepared for their season lineup, a shock ripples through Ottawa.

Rosco Shelton, rookie Zombie who was actually poached from Appalahcian State in the last regular season match of season 33, yes, the Championchip! has made an announcement. After seeing the beating that Ottawa took at the hands of a 'real' team, UC San Dogo, and then hearing that Ottawa's first match would be against none other than his own home town team, Appalahcian State, Rosco has walked off the pitch.

In a brief statement Rosco was quoted as saying 'this Ottawa ain't got no braaaaaiiiiins! I'mma gawn back home, and see if them guys won't get me some good eats!'

Season 34!

This season brings a new era to NCBB - not only has Ottawa joined, but there are 45 teams playing! Ottawa is part of the FUMBBL Bowl Conference, the FBC! There are 5 other conferences - the Big Beast Conference, the Southern Chaos Conference, The All Killer Conference, the Smack 10, and the non-auto-qualifying conference.

This has led the league commisioner to set up quite the strange schedule for Season 34. We play 1 game against each of the other 3 auto qualifying conferences; then we play each other team in our own conference, during which we'll participate in the Undead United Bowl against Howlson Tigers! THE premiere bowl of the entire league! Then we play against Smack 10 where we will defeat our rivals from our debut non-aq season! And lastly we play against a second team from the All Killer Conference.

Ottawa against the world!

Well, one of our players already retired over our first upcoming match of the season. So we're going to go in hard and heavy, looking to maintain our dominance over the Hillbillies!

Southern Chaos Conference

Damn Dirty Apes! Why did it have to be apes? Our coach has never played against Simyin before, and we don't entirely know what to expect. But they're soft, and Ottawa is mean, so we intend to run them into the ground.

Joey Mendis. Julian Starr. This is potentially THE match to watch for the week!

The Undead United Bowl! Where we will attempt to prove we are the premiere team in all NCBB! Yeah, they say it's only 'premiere undead or necromantic team', but we already know, those are the premiere teams anyway.

We failed a 4+ catch, with a team re-roll! We SHOULD HAVE WON! These warfrogs leaped and blitzed all over the place, and nothing our rookie team could do could slow them down.. well, we ain't rookies now. We're gonna bring pain, we're gonna bring game, and we're gonna BEAT UW-WHITEWATER!

Wow. We thought our team was big. These Daemons are HUGE! More than 2000TV, and a Bloodthirster to boot. A BLOODTHIRSTER!? Isn't that like, illegal in Blood Bowl? Hell, doesn't it automatically win? Isn't Blood Bowl really an offering TO the Bloodthirster? How the hell do we compete with that?

Round 1! Out of Conference match ups.

Our first opponents, our Championchip rivals from the non-AQ in our inaugural season in the league. The Hillbillies have a score to settle; and the Bee-Bees want to prove that the joke that was the game against UC San Drogo wasn't what the team is really capable of.

fter Rosco Shelton, originally from App State, retired immediately before this match, the Bee-Bees were in disarray.

However, they found that blood would give them back their form. Slaughtering humans in the first half, there were quickly 4 Hillbillies on stretchers. So bad was the carnage, that it turns out one of those on the stretchers, Texas Ranger Bobby, was not actually injured - he was simply jumping ship! He signed a new contract to Ottawa immediately after the first touchdown!

The Hillbillies refused to go down without a fight though, nearly scoring in the first half, and pulling out an extreme 10 move dash through solid undead lines to score early in the second half. However, that gave the ball back to Julian, and with the ball clutched in his eager hands, the rest of the Bee-Bees promptly went for blood, KO'ing human after human, until only 5 Hillbillies remained on the pitch. Julian walked in the winning touchdown as the final whistle sounded, albeit with a bit of a scare after Jean-Michel went tried to block Cal Norton Jr, only to end up facedown in the dirt. Cal Norton tried to hit Julian, but Starr is just too big, and the gutsy human catcher could only push Julian toward the end zone.

This was a brutal slugfest between iron armored chaos dwarves and.. hairy simyin. But the massive strength advantage of the Flingers kept the match equal, and there were no winners.

Except Joey Mendis. Once again nominated for an MVP, he has amassed more than 5 SPP per game so far in his career. This sophomore Bull Centaur is astounding, and, predictably, scored the only touchdown for the Deaf Bulls.

Despite the mass brutality of the match, only a hobgoblin was injured - and no one cares about a hobgoblin.

Next up for us:

Oooklahoma Flingers

(Simyin - 1950TV)

For only the second time in their career, Ottawa will be facing a team with larger TV. And most of that TV difference is due to an astounding 4 +Agi and a +Str that the Flingers have amassed. Oooklahoma has hitters, has guard, has ball handlers, and even has a frenzier to keep things off the sidelines. But they also.. are soft. The Simyins don't seem to care about the concept of armor, and Ottawa has just shown Appalahcian how much that can be a fatal mistake.

Well, season 34 regular play is over!

And here comes the homecoming King and Queen!

ImageImage

Julian Starr, and his favourite cheerleader, Brandi West! (awww baby, I'm a Wight, not a cheerleader *loud pop of bubblegum* -Brandi)

Since joining the team, Starr's glow has shone upon Brandi, and she's earned 3 MVPs in only 5 games.

Starr of course has been magnificent all season:
17 touchdowns in ONE season, 224 rushing, and 5 cas! He's absolutely smashed the opposition out of the park! Also 1 foul, 2 completions, and 69 blocks! (*snicker* yeah he has -Brandi)

*the cameras pan over the two as they saunter over to the buffet table - bits of mice and grey matter form the tastiest delicacies. Starr takes a particularly nice confection, which vaguely resembles a muffin with the number 5 on it, and eats it one gulp* "Ah, donated by Wisconsin I hear."

What about the rest of the team? How'd they shape up?

*the camera comes to rest on a very large student, still dressed in his uniform, with a drink one hand, and his arm around another student.. who appears to be missing his head*

ImageImage

Xuhua Xin will never be the same. Smashed by a HUMIE of all things! He can still move just fine, but everything hurts - and when a block mummy hurts, well, the world will never be the same.
And Jean-Michel Weber. Blodge did that wight no good against those frogs! His head is clean gone!

-Nothin' says lovin' like two mummies out for da game coach. -Pillsbury Doughboy, after the Go For It's played 15 turns without any Ottawa Mummies on the pitch.

But the team goes on. They managed a respectable 7-0-3 record this season; but lost 3 games in conference, leaving them unhappy, particularly after their fabulous United Undead Bowl win!

They had a net +27 casualties this season! And +7 touchdowns. Very proud of the Bee-Bees!

Despite the loss of two cornerstones of the team (ha! as if anyone is a cornerstone with me around! -Starr), which took 45 SPP with them, the team still net an increase of 134 SPP this season (of course we did! I earned 78 SPP this season on my OWN! -Starr)

*a drumroll starts to play in the background*

*the crowd CHEERS*

Starr approaches the stage, and fumbles out a large document.

"And now, the moment you've all been waiting for.. the Bee-Bee Rant RANKINGS! When we get to see the REAL score this season!!!"

Another season has come, and now we head into the Bowls! Season 35, wow, what a season.

Cinco de Mifflin, gutter runner extraordinaire, became only the second ever NCBB Legend!

And then promptly, overtaken as our homeboy ImageJulian Starr became the highest SPP player ever in NCBB, finishing the season in Style with 194 SPP after 31 games. Further, when Starr became legend in game 29, he did so in a game where he scored a hat trick of touchdowns, and caused 4 casualties, stealing the league record for most SPP earned in one match by one player, ever.

Starr again sets the second highest record for most SPP in a regular season by one player at 77 SPP in the season, after setting the league record at 78 last season.

But enough about legends!

What else?

Joey Mendis, also from Starr's class, is about to reach legend as well. The Bull Centaur finishes their junior year with 168 SPP. There will be a 4th NCBB legend next season!

And of course, what we've all been waiting for.

The Bee-Bees Ravings rankings!

Without further ado, here they are:
Ottawa 132 - Ottawa caused a massive 4.5 casualties per game, all while winning game after game. An unstoppable force, and their score reflects it.
Air Force 110 - Air Force, after an impressive season last year, improves on it! Home of Murder Rat, with the most casualties caused in the season, and winning far more games than their coach professes to expect, they dominated this season.
Duke 108 - Defending champions from last year, a high score was expected - but they had graduated a lot of players? Ha, they still have Nob Carson, another almost legend in the NCBB, and they still put out the wins.
Charlotte 107 - Wait, aren't these a 2nd year school? This team was fantastic, and bloody as hell. Their games were a joy to behold!
Gallaudet 102 - 2 absolutely massive bulls, and.. chaos dwarf blockers. Blood for days! Until half their blockers got killed or retired. Still, you can't go wrong watching these guys.
Fayetteville 102 - Elves can't bash! Elves can't bash! How can they score well? Fayetteville showed us. They got smashed to hell and back, and they still put on touchdown after touchdown. They lost linemen, they lost trees, they lost everything.. except games. And they still end up with almost the highest TV in the league!
SMU 100 - The rats of the Smack. Another giant of a team, they put out damage, they put out touchdowns, and they brought the game!
TCU 100 - The rats of the other S division! They may not have Broadnaxe anymore, but they still cause blood to fly (theirs and their opponents) in match after match, and they are always a worthwhile investment.

Season 36 is upon us!

Ottawa has become the defacto commisioner of the newest NCBB conference, the UAC! Utter Anarcy ensues! Union Aerospace go on strike! University Athletes everywhere rejoice!

Along with us, the UAC contains the best of the best; we will smack around our opponents, for we are the greatest killers, the strongest beasts, and, indeed, the greatest of the southern FUMBBLers!

In our ranks we find:

Ottawa Bee-Bees
(Shambling Undead - 2020TV)
Image
Nelphine

Semi-finalists in the National Championships last year, Ottawa's Starr continues to show the entire league how a legend player can single-handedly carry a team to greatness. In the opening OoC weeks, Ottawa plays against:
Miami Ballhawks, the commisioner of the FBC - Slann are always a confusing matchup, but we defeated our rivals, the UW-Whitewater Warfrogs, and so we are confident about this game.
Indiana Horrors, a Necromantic team from the SMC; they were in our graduating class, and, we intend to continue our reign of terror over other undead teams!
And the Gallaudet Deaf Bulls! Scheduled for tonight, September 15th, at 9pm Eastern (thats Sep 16th at 0300 server), we will see Joey Mendis vs Julian Starr! The only 2 active legends in the league, opening the season with terror and carnage! Another team from our graduating class, Starr and Mendis have done everything they can to prove which one has what it takes, and tonight will see it all on the line!

Paris University Deadjokers
(Necromantic Horror - 1480TV)

Here we have the first of our non-aq freshmen. These necromantic mean business, and almost nothing could stop them in their builder year. Can they keep that momentum going here in the UAC?
Their OoC schedule is:
Texas AM Les Agriculteurs. These two fought in the non-aq for top spot - now they fight again! Surely the wolves can outpace the puny prettonians?
Mz State Bull Dawgz. A brutally hard matchup, these orcs are rock solid, and will show no mercy. Speed will be the need in this matchup!
Wastern Michigan BronKhornes. Blood for the blood god! Can Paris deny the Khorne of their dreams?

Séraphins de Québec
(Chaos Chosen - 1320TV)
Image
Barem

Ah Québec, a truly wondrous city. Better perhaps than all but one other team in, well, not only our conference but the entire league, this team is in the right place.
Their OoC schedule looks brutal though:
Fayetteville Bronchospasms. The reigning national champions, and still the team with more stats on their players than many entire conferences combined. The chaos will try to hurt - can they stop the speed?
U-Dub Elfskies. Another powerful elf team! These will also look to run circles around our heroes. But Québec will do what they do best.. plod forward and look for victims!
Fighting Illinois 2020. This is more like it. Mutant dwarves! Take them down! Embrace our hate! Come.. to the dark side!

Um, G'olden Go For Its!
(Human - 1670TV)
Image

Minnesota. What an awful place. They kill mummies there! MUMMIES! Who wants to hurt a mummy?? This team has been dominant for years, but they've had to graduate.. well.. a number of good players, but especially the Doughboy. Let's see how they replace them!
For their opening OoC rounds, they have:
Northern Virginia CC Hawks. Khorne killers. The humans should have the speed to dance around these daemons!
Ball State Crimson Birds. More humans. Humie vs humie. The only good humie is a dead humie. Let's see this as a true blood bath! Kill 'em all!
Saint Louis Billikens. High elves extraordinaire, this team is consistently trying to be a national champion contender.. but the Go For Its can more than hold their own here. They should knock this match out of the park!

StephenF.Austin LumberingJacks
(Khemri Tomb Kings - 1520TV)
Image
Durthu

Another brand new team, fresh out of the non-aq! And a smash smash smash, and a smash smash smash! That is the only thing Khemri can do right? RIGHT?
They've already played some OoC games, but we'll ignore that for now. They are matched up against:
UNAM Pumas Malditas. This will be a bloody bloody match. Khemri vs Necromantic! Fouls! Mighty Blow! Cas! Guard! HIT HIT HIT
Karak University. Dwarves for the skull pile! But the armor of the dorfs will make this much more difficult as the two slow-as-molasses juggernauts wail on each other.
Texas Tech Red Reptiles. One of the other fresh teams, these two will want to prove their dominance - the skinks will run around, but will the Khemri keep up?

Nippon U Triumphant Lions
(Lizardman - 1570TV)
Image
Lorebass

This lizardman team has been out of play for.. a fair few seasons. We'll have to see what they can bring to the table!
For OoC, they have a rough few matches:
[NCBB] FlaSt Delfinoles. A long time championship contender, these dark elves will not go down easy. Nippon will have to pull out all the stops to beat these pretenders!
UTEP Party Minors. Nurgle! But on the rise. Can Nippon overcome the deficit in players to bring back the win?
Ohio Wesleyan Battling Benders. Fresh rosy cheeked Pro Elves. Munch munch munch.

UC San Dogo Krytens
(High Elf - 1830TV)
Image
Jackassrampant

Ah, UCSD. Always contentious, always strong. These High Elves play lowball, bashing their opponents into next week. Likely to make another push for the NC this season, we'll see how they do in a much bashier conference than their previous year.
Their OoC matchups include:
John Molson School of Bruising. More bash! Nurgle for everyone! If Nurgle can get their slime around the high elves, this could be a nightmare.
Appalahcian State Hillbillies. Humans with a stick! Are they really human? We can't really tell, but they'll have some hitting power and some speed, so the high elves will have to contend with it all.
Fresno State Raiders. Undead! UCSD gets to be the only team lucky enough to face off against 2 Undead teams this season! Will the pain start even before the brutal in conference match ups?

Kansas Red Leg Raiders
(Norse - 1570TV)
Image
Miyuso

Kansas returns! These norse have already made their presence known to the league, and they want to return with a vengeance!
Their opening match ups include:
Bro-hio State Buckeyes. Yikes. A strong wood elf team, this is going to make the Norse run for their money.
Poli Puerkos. And a very strong bash team! Just the opposite! The Norse are going to have their work cut out for them.
GRUNTS of Army! Orcs! Nothing but extremes for this OoC matchup! Norse will have to go mano a mano against the toughest armor, and be quick to stay on top!

NCBB has just started season 40, and this time, the ruleset has changed.

This is the first season for the league using the 2020 rules, and this has definitely shuffled things up.

Cantucky Wildecats - Chaos Dwarves
Poli Puerkos - Dwarves
Normandale Con-Unity College - Chaos Chosen

United Aerospace Conference
Ottawa Bee-Bees - Undead
Um, G'Olden Go Fer Its! - Human
U of Tee [Toronto] - Chaos Dwarves
[IVCC] Ranchers - Chaos Chosen

These conferences, for this particular season, have been paired into 'divisions'. The season starts with each team playing one team from a different 'division' - two Out of Conference games; while the teams they play are decided, they are free to play them in any order.
After those 2 games are done, they will play a tournament against all of the teams in their 'division' - eight In Conference games.

From this, anyone who wins at least 4 games, and has at least a 0.5 winning average, will get to play in a bowl; the highest ranked teams get to play in the most prestigious bowls like the Rose Bowl, and the top 4 teams will compete in a KO tournament to be national champions!

What determines who the top 4 teams are? A wild morass of polls, made up often by drunken goblins and raging minotaurs, and then all skewed by the infamous Coach's Poll!

In addition to these returning teams, we have TWENTY new teams this season for our NON-Aq division. These will be detailed in a later post.

For Season 40, the Non AQ has been split into two divisions of 10 teams. Each division will play all 9 other teams in their division, and then will play 1 team from the other division.

The teams are:
SDSU Smacktecs - Humans
CSU Long Beach Dirtbags - Black Orcs
Druchii of ARMY - Dark Elves
Fighting Illini Bulls - Chaos Dwarves
Georgia Bulldawgs - Imperial Nobility
John Molson School of Bashing - Chaos Chosen
Tulane Grave Wave - Undead
UC San Diego Trytons - Orcs
UTEP Minors - Undead
Foul Peak University - Skaven

and

University of Hawai'i - Humans
Austin College Kangaroo Rats - Skaven
U Brock Block Badgers - Slann
Arkansas State Red Wolves - Necromantic
Kennesaw State Hooters - Amazons
Chemeketa Chemtrails - Khorne
Geneva Golden Tornadoes - Pro Elves
UDub Ratskis - Skaven
[NCAA] MSU Spartans - Orcs
LSU Ragin' Cajun's - Pro Elves

Teams from the non-AQ need to get 5 wins in order to qualify for a bowl; and can get into the most prestigious bowls if they have amazing records!

We're going to see what the 2020 rules have in store for us, but we certainly have a lot of interest, so I know Ottawa intends to ride it out to the top this time!
