Hey all, just checking my understanding:
Catching the ball on a kick off you do not get a team re-roll only catch should you have it?
Can anybody explain why this is different if the opponent gets a Blitz kick off and gets under the ball? It comes down after the "free" turn and thus should not get a re-roll?

You cannot see the benefits of controlling the ball from the kick off to you opponent??
Perspective: I was once 2-0 up with Nurgle in Turn 3 of a game vs Skaven..... granted 2x Blitzes but still.... |

In some situations there is a crucial difference between holding the ball or having to pick it up. Specially if you have to score fast.
On topic, you can only use team RR during your own turn. The kick-off sequence is off-turn so you don't get to use a RR, but if you get a Blitz! the kick is performed during your extra turn, thus letting you use that team RR. |

5 - Bounce/ Catch/ or Touchback the Ball
I do not see how that means the Kick happens during your extra turn?
You completely resolve the Kick off Result (ie the free turn) prior to bouncing the ball after the turn (or weather change, or Pitch invasion, etc)? |

Just read further, the rules explicitly state you should not be able to:
pg 18: "A team re-roll may not be used for any catch roll when the ball lands; however, players may use the catch or pro skill to re-roll the catch roll."

I don't think that is true at all.
The situation is just the same.
You do your Blitz turn. The ball is released after your turn and pre- opponents turn. RR can only be used in the owns coaches turn. Neither side can RR. |

Yes, I also believe the current client's way of handling this to be a misinterpretation or bug. |
