Amazing, how this has grown lately. How many divisions are there now?

I'll root for the champ - they have to forge better players, my draft pick from Duke just suffered a -str. injury in the NBFL. NOT TOUGH ENOUGH! You must do better, DUKE!

5 main conferences of 8 each, and 2 non aq conferences, also of 8 each. 56 teams, roughly 53 coaches. 10 matches (not including bowls/NC) per season.

Welcome back, NCBB enthusiasts, to the Season 35 preview of the Southern Chaos Conference (SCC).

Image
The SCC Season 35 Preview Show

During this installment, we'll be looking at the Out of Conference games that our beloved SCC-teams will have to go through to start the season. Afterwards we'll do our best to predict the outcome of OoC for each of these teams.

Image

Navy Midskeletonmen
(Indiana Horrors (D) / Fayetteville Bronchospasms / Air Force Warpstone Falcons)

Navy, the old bones of NCBB. They've been around for aeons now, and they still suck. If the stars were in the right constellation, I could find a sweet spot for the underdogs and predict them a win, but
a) they already played the most-likely-to-beat program Indiana (last year's McNurgle's Bowl loser), a game they didn't win,
b) they still have to play Fayetteville, Garcangel's anabolic Wood Elves, as well as Home of Murder Rat Air Force and
c) despite hanging around for aeons, they still suck.

Prediction: 0 - 1 - 2

Illinois Valley CC Ranchers
(U Pike Pain Bearers (W) / Charlotte's Forty Normers / SMU Mousestangs)
Illinois Valley played the season opener of Season 35 against U Pike, and they gained the first victory for SCC. They still have to play the big leagues newcomer Charlotte's Forty Normers and the already established SMU Mousestangs, last year's Wonderbra Bowl loser. Of these two games, Ranchers will win one and will lose one.

Prediction: 2 - 0 - 1

TCU Horned Rats
(Miami BallHawks / Hawaii Warrielves / U-Dub Elfskies)
The Horned Rats will face the Miami BallHawks, which will be a re-match of last year's OoC game as well as the Season 32 BCS championship final. Additionally TCU will play UDUB, the team they beat in the Season 33 BCS Championship Semi-Finals. The OoC-games are rounded up by the Warrior Elves from Hawaii, TCU's latest rivals. A lot of bad blood will be in these games. Oh, and three wins for TCU, of course Razz

Prediction: 3 - 0 - 0

Ball State Crimson Birds
(UTEP Party Minors / FlaSt Delfinoles / Mz State Bull Dawgz)
That's a tough schedule. The Party Minors might not have won much last season, but they block hard and sometimes lethal. Both the other teams have had very successful campaigns last year: MzState made it to the Orange Bowl, where they lost to Fayetteville, and FlaSt even made it to the BCS Championship Semi-Final (the infamous one). That's at least two teams the Birds can't handle yet. The Party Minors might be their only win in the OoC-games.

Prediction: 1 - 0 - 2

Karak University
(U of Wisconsin Rat-Grrrrs / Duke Blue-Green Devils (W) / BYU Cougars (W))
The dwarves from Karak have been very hardworking to turn around the mine car on its way down the slope... and with success! Have it been the encouraging words of conference commish FRSHMN, his on-the-spot pre-season analysis or simply the fact that Xeterog knows his dwarves best? Who cares, as long as the little ones keep winning. And who am I to bet against them? K.A.M.U will go the whole distance, three wins out of three games! Go Techies!

Prediction: 3 - 0 - 0

CSU Northridge Matadors
(Saint Louis Billikens / Berea Bleeding Angels / Washington Huskarls)
Next team up for coach Klazam. His Matadors will have to face a good mix of bash, dash and mash. The Billikens will be a team too agile right now, but the other two match-ups look challenging but, on a Nuffle-blessed day, winnable. We have high hopes for this squad, so we say they will end up evenly split after three games.

Prediction: 1 - 1 - 1

Alabama Silver Tide
(Northern Virginia CC Hawks / UW - Whitewater Warfrogs / Ottawa Bee-Bees)
Alabama is scheduled to play against Khorne (N.Virg.) and Slann (UW WW), which looks like a very lucky hand by whoever did that draw (not looking at you, commish). The Hawks didn't have a win last season until they beat the Indiana Horrors in the McNurgle's Cup. The Warfrogs went (1-4-4) and missed the Bowl Season completely. The toughest match-up will be against the the Ottawa Bee-Bee's with reigning Hammer Julian Starr. The team missed last year's BCS Championship games by a margin and coach Nelphine will do anything to make that one additional step this season.

Prediction: 2 - 0 - 1

Florida Rotting Gators
(USC Lady Trojans (D) / Oregon Waterfoul / California Golden Lizards)
The Gators with some interesting teams to play against:
2nd-year program USC, BCS National Championship finalist from two seasons ago California and all-time leader in championship victories Oregon. As we said before, the Gators are in a kind of a rebuild and lack the weapons needed to stand the opposition. Best shot for a win would have been the still young Lady Trojans, but they already played and came out with a still respectable draw. We can't see them win against Oregon or California.

Prediction: 0 - 1 - 2

So that's it, folks. We placed our bets, now let's see how SCC does in comparison to the other leagues. Looking at Season 34, the conference has to compensate for something.

Good evening, folks. Now that OoC play has ended, the AP Committee has released their most current version of the AP(ojar) Poll.

In last night's live broadcast, you were given only the top 10, but we'll be display all top-20 positions here.

The AP Polls take into account a team's roster (developed, a lot of freshmen, etc), touchdowns and casualties. It also develops its own strength of schedule, allowing for a model that should fairly predict what teams' outcomes SHOULD be along the way. As usual, rivalry matches carry a heavier weight, just as they do for the BCS Poll.

NOTE: Records are reflected as Wins/Losses/Ties, as the pollsters are all Americans who just can NOT get used to putting ties in the middle.

Without further ado:

(1) Ottawa Bee-Bees

Race: Undead
Record: 3-0
Conference: Big Beast
Opening AP Poll Position: 6

Current Point Total: 885.75

Coach Nelphine has these guys firing on all cylinders through the Out of Conference games, including a big rivalry win over Wisconsin-Whitewater. It should prove interesting to see if anyone comes out from this conference as the #1 overall team, as they all now have the chance to just destroy each other for 7 long, grueling weeks... Ottawa does have a 2nd rivalry match left on its schedule (Wisconsin, Week 4). It sure helps to have an athlete like Julian Starr on your team to run the show...

{2) Karak University

Race: Dwarf
Record: 3-0
Conference: SCC
Opening AP Poll Position: 4

Current Point Total: 871

This is a top-notch Dwarven roster. Coach Xeterog has a pair of excellent Blitzers, a very good Troll Slayer, and some well-above-average Longbeards on the team to control the positioning on the pitch. The pace is theirs to control. They will be missing their "lead" Runner for their first match against upstart Ball State, but these stout fighters have shown they can get it done against anybody. Their most pivotal game will come in Week 3, a rivalry match up against TCU.

(3) California Golden Lizards

Race: Lizardman
Record: 2-0-1
Conference: Big Beast
Opening AP Poll Position: 2

Current Points Total: 844.5

If you were searching through the rosters of NCBB teams, looking for an example of a team that is built to win NOW, you need not look much further than this Golden Lizard team. This roster is SOLID. Well-built and well-coached, this team is versatile enough to play any kind of game it needs to. This is the roster where you find Kyle Harmon, an extremely mobile Skink who is starting to further come into his own. The team is so stacked, we can't really even single out any of the Saurii, as they're all very good. The only thing that knocked Cal down a few places here was their inability to win a rivalry match against Oregon. It ended as a draw, but Cal left some important points on the table with the crazy ending to that match.

(4) Fayetteville Bronchospasms

Race: Wood Elf
Record: 2-0-1
Conference: Big Beast
Opening AP Poll Position: 1

Current Points Total: 803.25

They may not be the most durable, but there IS an argument to be made, albeit fleeting, that the two Wardancers on this squad are the best 1-2 punch in the NCBB. They can sure do things that no other team can get done. They also have one of the top level Elf coaches in Garcangel running the show. The roster may only have 11, but every single player serves their role. 2 GREAT Wardancers, 4 GREAT Catchers. The Tree takes hits that were meant for other Elves. Even the Lineman are above average; they aren't just bumps in the road. This team is going to be a "tough out" in any Playoffs...

(5) TCU Horned Rats

Race: Skaven
Record: 3-0
Conference: SCC
Opening AP Poll Position: 13

Current Points Total: 787

Well well.. after one "down" season (by their own standards), look whose climbing back to the top yet again? This program is just 1 year removed from winning back-to-back National Titles. It appears they're ready to get back into the conversation.

This team is VERY deep. They have a world-class Thrower in Justin Rogers. They have a dynamic Gutter Runner squad which, if you aren't careful, will surprise you defensively. They have 2 young Storm Vermin, and a dinged up but very serviceable Rat Ogre in Parker Workman. The Linerats are also important contributors to the squad. They enjoyed a big rivalry win in the OoC play against Hawaii. They have another ENORMOUS rivalry match coming up in Week 3 against #2 Karak University.

(6) Gallaudet Deaf Bulls

Race: Chaos Dwarf
Record: 3-0
Conference: AKC
Opening AP Poll Position: 10

Current Points Total: 785.5

Those Bulls... we can't discuss anything on this team until we acknowledge the AMAZING two Bull Centaurs on this squad in Everett Polzin and Joey Mendis. These guys are the driving force behind the pace of play for Gallaudet. Right behind them, there are the 6 Chaos Dwarf Blockers. 3 of them have Guard, while the other 3 have Claw (2 of the 3 have Claw/Mighty Blow). With players like those, they can overcome a largely young Hobgoblin core. The Bulls have no rivalries declared this season, so they won't be able to capitalize on any extra points in some wins, as some of the other top-10 teams have done. It doesn't seem to matter to Sergtacos though, as all these guys do is win.

(7) Oregon Waterfoul

Race: High Elf
Record: 2-0-1
Conference: Smack 8
Opening AP Poll Position: 9

Current Points Total: 772.5

No matter how many seasons go by, or how many players they graduate, somehow and someway, the Waterfoul are always in the midst of it. There aren't any super-flashy players on the roster. In fact, we believe there are only 3 seniors on this squad. Thanks to top-level coaching, they just find ways to win, and that's how you pave your way to the top of the polls. We will confess that we really miss the Fowl names and photos, but that has nothing to do with the math.

Oregon had both of their rivalry matches played already. They managed to tie a crazy one against California, but earned a big win against the Florida Rotting Gators. moving them up the rankings nicely.

{8} Saint Louis Billikins

Race: High Elf
Record: 1-1-1
Conference: Smack 8
Opening AP Poll Position: 5

Current Points Total: 680

This is a really sexy roster to look at. Every single player is groomed for an important purpose. Coach Fool has done an outstanding job of setting up his roster to be competing for a Championship.

It IS, however, a WIN NOW squad, with a good number of Seniors looking to make their mark on NCBB History. Their opener could have gone better, losing to a lower-ranked Washington team. The team sure manned up the next match, upsetting a favored Berea squad, putting up 4 TD's and killing an Angel. They played to a tie against a young Chaos Pact squad from CSU-Northridge.

Saint Louis does not have any rivalry matches to play this season, so they'll need to be sure to keep winning as much as they can to stay toward the Playoff talk.

(9) SMU Mousestangs

Race: Skaven
Record: 1-1
Conference: Smack 8
Opening AP Poll Position: 7

Current Points Total: 679.75

Now this is the case where the roster has a lot to do with how the teams come in, standings-wise. This is a one-loss squad that's fairly high up in the rankings, and with good reason.

This team is the home of Fabio Santore, the best Big Guy that nobody in the NCBB is talking about. He's a sophomore Rat Ogre with Block, Guard, AND +MA. He's complimented by 2 excellent Gutter Runners and 2 VERY GOOD Storm Vermin. Arcayn gets his money's worth out of everyone on this roster.

Their loss was a dismal showing against an up-and-coming UNC Charlotte team that simply decimated the Skaven on the pitch. They followed it up with a quality win over a young, but good Illinois Valley Chaos squad.

The game that would put SMU back into the top talk will be their Week 1 match, a rivalry game against Bro-Hio State.

(10) Howlson Tigers

Race: Necromantic
Record: 2-0
Conference: AKC
Opening AP Poll Position: 19

Current Points Total: 657.75

There is a LOT to like about this Necro roster, but not for what you'd think of right away. When you think Necro, you think of the Werewolves. The two on the roster, Tom Flacco and Chris Clark aren't anything you'd write home about.

The rest of this roster, however, is fearsome. There are not one, but TWO +ST Blocking Flesh Golems on this roster. Both Wights are excellent. Both Ghouls are very good. The Zombies just shimmy to where they are told. With the excellent coaching they've been getting, this team can continue its way to the top of the League.

Howlson put up an enormous win in its rivalry match against Minnesota. They have another rivalry match remaining in OoC against UCSD.

(11) UNC-Charlotte Forty Normers

Race: Human
Record: 2-0-1
Conference: AKC
Opening AP Poll Position: 21

Current Points Total: 641.75

Dear NCBB,
You're all on notice because Coach Bullroarer has these guys coming for all of you. The Forty Normers were the 2nd best team with regards to charging up the rankings, moving up 10 spots (only Washington moved up more).

Depth. Balance. These guys are playing like professionals for a 2nd year squad. The Blitzer squad is beautifully diverse. The Catchers are excellent. Their Big Guy is above-average. The Lineman are filling needed roles.

Charlotte put up a big rivalry win againt UPike, firing them up the polls. A BIG win against #9 SMU sure helped out as well. The Normers' Rounds 3 and 5 matches will surely tell the tale as to whether we'll see their names tossed into the bucket for Playoff possibilities.

(12) Bro-Hio State Buckeyes

Race: Wood Elf
Record: 1-1-1
Conference: Smack 8
Opening AP Poll Position: 12

Current Points Total: 637

Things could have gone south quickly for this Buckeye squad, losing their first match to a powerful Gallaudet team. Their opening OoC schedule was a physical challenge with the aforementioned Deaf Bulls, a brutal rivalry match against the Poli Puerkos Dwarven roster, and a hefty, physical Orc squad from Army. They have a pair of very good Wardancers, one of which taking on a bit of an injury thanks to Coach TimR and the Army boys. The Linemen are all useful. The lack of a deep Catcher core could come back to get the Buckeyes later this season.

They have already won a rivalry match, putting up a nice win over the aforementioned Poli Puerkos team. They still have one rivalry match remaining, which kicks off their Conference play against #9 SMU. That should be a dandy!

(13) UM Golden Go For Its

Race: Human
Record: 1-1
Conference: FBC
Opening AP Poll Position: 8

Current Points Total: 637

NOTE: Two teams tied in points will award the higher rank to the team that has completed their matches, as the points can fluctuate either up or down.

We officially welcome the FBC to the party with Minnesota. Top to bottom, this is a very good, well balanced roster. You can't talk about it until you first acknowledge the NCBB's best Big Guy, Pillsbury Doughboy. He's a once-in-a-franchise type of force up front that drives the pace of the game. The Blitzer core is EXCELLENT. Their Catchers are good. Their Thrower is good. The Linemen aren't asked to do too much.

The Go For Its won their opening match this year in ENORMOUS style over Appalachian State, causing 7 casualties along the way. They may have used all their luck in their opener, however, as they lost their next match to Howlson. It just so happens that it was also a rivalry match, landing Minnesota in a tougher spot.

They do have one OoC match remaining to make up, which also happens to be a rivalry game (UCSD). They'll really look forward to that, as it'll be their chance to make up some points they lost early on.

(14) Florida State Delfinoles

Race: Dark Elf
Record: 1-0-2
Conference: FBC
Opening AP Poll Position: 11

Current Points Total: 616.5

It is really a testament to very good coaching and team building that a squad can take 5 times the amount of CAS it dishes out and still come through undefeated. That's the story of Florida State so far (10 CAS against, 2 for). Their season openend with a tie against an unheralded UTEP team, where the Nurgle (and also their rivals) pinned 5 CAS on them (3 SI's, and 2 deaths). Their next match, they held a very good Ball State squad to a scoreless tie. They got themselves going in the right direction in their last OoC match, a 2-1 win over a very physical Mississippi State team.

The story of this team is their Witch Elves and Blitzers. Both cores are well above-average, providing all the oomph to continue pushing them forward to the top. The thing that will hurt the Delfinoles slightly is drawing in their rivalry match, as it was their one chance to reach for a handful of extra points.

(15) Washington Huscarls

Race: Norse
Record: 2-0-1
Conference: FBC
Opening AP Poll Position: 26

Current Points Total: 561

It's about high time that we start loving on this Huscarls team. They were the pre-seasons best movers, shooting up 11 points in the rankings. It's easy to see why: they beat a then-ranked #5 Saint Louis squad. They followed that upset with another big win over the at-the-time #7 Berea team. They tied their final OoC match against a similarly physical team in the Chaos Pact of CSU-Northridge.

This team has some great balance to it. All of their players contribue in positioning. The Lineman's roles are to set up assists for their heavy hitters, which they do unquestionably. The hitting comes from typically one of 3 players: Dag Gunnvidsson the Berserker, Torfi Ulfsson the Ulfwerenar, or a Snow Troll named Ulf (not to be confused with the Lineman on the team of the same name... perhaps they are relatives). Those 3 players account for just under 60% of the team's total casualties inflicted.

Washington does not have any rivalry matches to play this season, their first one outside the non-AQ Division. They'll need to keep winning and hurting to keep their points on the level of the over-achievers on top of them.

We all will look forward to seeing this young Norse team take on last year's Champion Duke in Week 4, as well as their Week 2 match in conference against #13 Minnesota.

(16) UDub Elfskies

Race: High Elf
Record: 1-1
Conference: Smack 8
Opening AP Poll Position: 18

Current Points Total: 559.5

Though this team is young and (now) a bit banged-up, we can never count out Coach mrt1212 when it comes to running any kind of Elven franchise. Such is the case with long-time NCBB participant, UDubs.

This roster serves its exact purpose. Everyone has their role to play, and they just go out and execute. If you're looking for a well-coached game to watch, here's the team you need to root for.

UDubs has only one rivalry declared, which they won in their OoC games (Hawaii). They'll need to look for some freshman to hire from their practice squad so they can compete with the likes of the rest of the Smack 8 teams.

(17) Berea Bleeding Angels

Race: Amazon
Record: 0-3
Conference: Big Beast
Opening AP Poll Position: 3

Current Points Total: 554

Yes. Berea is STILL in the top 20 even at 3 losses. This is the part of the math/calculations that figures in on both the roster composition and predictions on what the roster SHOULD and WILL do.

The roster is still fairly sound: 2 very good Linewomen, 2 very good Blitzers, a very good Catcher, and an EXCELLENT Thrower in Easy.

The predicitons seemed to try to figure in where the Angels would finish with regard to how well they stayed on the pitch in the past. That has NOT been the case this season; far from it. They are also taking 5 times the amount of CAS per game against them (15 against, only 3 caused).

The Angels will need to get themselves right, and in a hurry. They went from a Senior Roster to one of the younger ones in the NCBB seemingly overnight. Their conference schedule certainly will not do them any favors, as they open up Conference Play with #1 Ottawa out of the gate. They will also see numbers 3 and 4 along the way. A few upset wins could go along way in vaulting them closer to where they were, but will they have enough in them to make it?

{18} Duke Blue-Green Devils

Race: Lizardman
Record: 1-1-1
Conference: FBC
Opening AP Poll Position: 16

Current Points Total: 536.25

It may seem a tad unfair or biased to have the Defending National Champions seeded this low. Last season's Championship squad was a once-in-a-lifetime type of club. The experience that graduated from the school last year is missing in the Saurus core now. They still have Nob Carson on the roster, as he's playing in his Red-Shirt Senior for Duke. With only Felton Capel III left to carry the load for the Saurii, it's unfair to expect Duke to repeat such heights of glory without last season's front line in tact.

(19) CSU-Northridge Matadors

Race: Chaos Pact
Record: 1-0-2
Conference: SCC
Opening AP Poll Position: 27

Current Points Total: 524

The Matadors are a 2nd year squad, coming out of last season's non-AQ. They are already making their mark on the big boys.

They opened their OoC play with an ENORMOUS rivalry win over #3 Berea (the largest-scoring game we've had thus far in the AP Polls). They followed that big win up with 2 very impressive ties against the likes of Saint Louis and Washington.

These guys are causing just under 5 casualties a game. That's a huge point-scoring advantage. Can they keep this train moving? The way they've been playing, there doesn't seem to be any reason to say no.

Aside from the other stiff competiton in the Conference, they'll have to go through the likes of the #'s 2 and 5 teams in the country to make a name for themselves this year.

(20) Mississippi State Bull Dawgz

Race: Orc
Record: 0-1-2
Conference: AKC
Opening AP Poll Position: 15

Current Points Total: 504

This Orc team is punishing. They bring the play right to (and through) you. The squad is led by an excellent Black Orc Blocker core. Behind that run 2 good Blitzers and a great one in the likes of Gibson. These guys also employ a Piling On Troll, keeping a few extra re-rolls on hand just for him.

The Dawgz posted ties against both UTEP and Ball State, two good teams that are also on the rise. They did lose to Florida State, which was supposed to happen, if you take the rankings as your guide.

One would have thought, at first glance, that the Bull Dawgz may have been the physical team to beat in the AKC this year. That may have been true until both Gallaudet and UNC-Charlotte threw their hats in the ring. The AKC looks to be a slug-fest waiting to happen, and that's without even mentioning #10 Howlson....

Ladies and Gentlemen,
After one week of Conference Play, the "Week 4" AP(ojar) Poll, this time ALL THE WAY! All 40 teams!

NOTE: Does NOT include information from any of the "round 2" matches that have already taken place... that's for the Week 5 Polls to talk about.

Conference designations:
Beast, SCC, AKC, Smack 8, or FBC

1. Ottawa Bee-Bees: 863.75 points
Thanks to the top teams all starting out rough in-conference, Ottawa's tie didn't hurt them AS badly as some other squads. Next up, a doozie of a match against Fayetteville.

2. Gallaudet Deaf Bulls: 840.25 points
The Bulls just keep winning, and that's how you work your way up toward the #1 ranking. Next victim: a physical match against Mississippi State.

3. Oregon Waterfoul 825.25 points
Win, and good things happen. That is proven by Oregon's convincing win over Wisconsin-Whitewater last week. Next up is Indiana.

4. Fayetteville Bronchospams: 823.25 points
Back to their winning ways thanks to some SERIOUS dirty Elf pool by Jason Armstrong in the closing moments of their match against UTEP. They'll need more magic as they're next to take on Ottawa.

5. California Golden Lizards: 816 points
Opening tie against Wisconsin did them no favors at the polls. Need to get back at it against a phyiscal Poli squad.

6. Karak University: 812 points
Thrashed in their opening against a very under-the-radar Ball State team. Will look to right the ship against Florida this week.

7. SMU Mousestangs: 777.75 points
Rivalry win this week propels them up a few spots. Has UCSD next.

8. TCU Horned Rats: 768.5 points
Hurt in the polls this week by a tie against Alabama. CSU Northridge next.

9. Washington Huscarls: 658.25 points
Win win win. Leave bodies lying behind them. That seems like the formula for moving up from the depths. Let me make notes about this... Next to step into the Murder Dome is Minnesota.

10. Howlson Tigers: 657.75 points
Didn't gain, but didn't lose. They will make up their game against Mississippi State later this season. Next up: USC.

11. Saint Louis Billikens: 652.25 points
Bit of a hard loss against UCSD numbers-wise. Bro-Hio State looming next.

12. CSU-Northridge: 625 points
Also utilizing "the Washington Method" of butt-kicking/name-taking. TCU up next for them. We'll see if they can keep the Skaven in front of them.

13. UM Golden Go For Its!: 623.5 points
Tied Florida State. Bulldozer Washington up next. They can claw their way back into the top 10, but need to string up some wins for their push for an "Upper Bowl" berth.

14. UNC-Charlotte: 618.75 points
Has been moving up consistently, but hurt in the polls by a loss to Hawaii. Northern Virginia up next.

15. Florida State Delfinoles: 608 points.
Tied conference rival Minnesota. Will kick off the Battle of the Dark Elves next week against UPike.

16. Duke: 604 points.
Back on track in typical Duke fashion, bashing through Miami. Here come the Grunts of Army this week though.

17. Bro-Hio State: 593 points
Rivalry loss to SMU hit them hard. Will need to string a number of wins together to move back toward that top 10. Tough match against Saint Louis next.

18. Ball State Crimson Birds: 576 points.
Welcome to the top 20, Ball State! We've not talked about this team enough, and for that, I blame someone totally random... Cervus. Yeah, that's it. It's Cervus' fault.. Just defeated Karak. Will seek to do the same to Navy next.

19. UDub Elfskies: 557.5 points
Tie to Indiana hurts them. Will need to turn it around next week against Wisconsin-Whitewater.

20. Berea Bleeding Angels: 536 points
Tied Ottawa. Still hurts them a bit, due to their predicted potential, but not as bad as it hurts Ottawa. Next up, the Party Minors of UTEP.

21. Poli Puerkos: 532.25 points
Convincing shut-out win over Appalachian State. Will face California in Week 2, a completely different style of team.

22. Hawaii Warrielves: 515.25 points
With the new OC and DC, this is the effort we were expecting, posting a win over UNC-Charlotte. Next up: BYU.

23. Mississippi State: 504 points
Didn't get their Week 1 match in against Howlson. Will be made up later, but didn't move their point total up or down. They're "rewarded" in Week 2 with a face-off against Gallaudet.

24. Navy Midskeletonmen: 433.5 points
Navy has....wait, is this right? *checks math again* Yep, it's right... A few more wins, and there will be some unhappy Conference Commissioners out there. They have Ball State next.

25. UTEP Party Minors: 430.5 points
That was a tough last-second loss to Fayetteville. They'll seek to get back on track this week against struggling Berea.

26. Wisconsin Rat-Grrrrs: 414.75 points
Tying California in a crazy one gets them moving back in the right direction. Next for Cinco and the Man is Appalachian State.

27. Wisconsin-Whitewater: 411 points
Chasing High Elves can be tough for Slann, as they found out against Oregon. Problem is, they play in the Smack, so they'll do it again this week, taking on UDubs.

28. Illinois Valley: 401.75 points
Ran into the well-oiled buzzsaw that is CSU-Northridge. They'll face quite a different style squad in Alabama next week.

29. Air Force: 381.25 points
The Air Force won this round of the Inter-Military Rivalry over the Cadets of Army. Next battle for these fly-boys are the BallHawks of Miami.

30. BYU Cougars: 378.5 points
Got thrown "a beatin'" in Week 1 in a rivalry TIE against Northern Virginia. Next up for the High Elves is Hawaii.

31. Alabama Silver Tide: 309.25 points
A Week 1 tie against top 5 TCU boosts their points a bit. They'll face a different style game in Week 2 when they play Illinois Valley.

32. Northern Virginia: 292 points
Their rivalry tie helps them a great deal, awarding them nearly 3/4 of a win total. Will seek to keep the momentum going when UNC-Charlotte comes to town.

33. UPike Pain Bearers: 281.5 points
They bore the pain and wrath from Washington this week, taking 4 SI's. They'll seek to prove themselves against fellow Dark Elf squad Florida State this week.

34. Florida Rotting Gators: 272.25 points
These guys were shelled from off-shore by Navy's battleship fleet this week. Unfortunately, it won't get easier for them this week, as they'll host Karak.

35. UC San Dogo Krytens: 271.5 points
Tying Saint Louis week 1 helps them out quite a bit. They'll seek to keep momentum this week as they travel to SMU.

36. Indiana Horrors: 257.75 points
A very good tie for Indiana this week against UDubs. We hope they took away a game plan for High Elves from that, as they're about to see Oregon.

37. USC Lady Trojans: 223.75 points
Brutal game they had against Gallaudet in Week 1. Nothing went right for them. They'll have a chance to turn it around, but will do so against another top 10 team in Howlson.

38. Appalachian State: 214.5 points
The schedule this season for App. State has been brutal, as evidenced by the pounding they took from Poli in Week 1. They'll face a slightly different type of team in week 2 against the hard-to-catch Cinco and the Rats of Wisconsin.

39. Miami BallHawks: 205.75 points
Took a beating at the hands of Duke in Week 1. Will have to find a way to deal with John "Murder Rat" Cannon" of Air Force in Week 2.

40. Grunts of Army: 185.5 points
Dishonorably discharged Top Sergeant this week in a hazing scandal. Can these guys get a break on the schedule? Murderous Chaos Dwarves, then murderous Dwarves. They played Bro-Hio State to a tie, but then fell prey to Murder Rat. It could get dicey this week, as they'll face Duke. Even legendary sportscaster Keith Jackson was quoted as saying, "This schedule's been as brutal as a crawdaddy caught in the jambalaya bowl".

I just need to comment ... Fayetteville not only has a Strength 4 Mighty Blow Guard Tackle wardancer (which is disgusting)...

They now also have an agi 6 move 10 catcher.

I believe that unless someone can seriously hurt both of these players, Fayetteville is the top contender to win the national Championship this season (and probably next season).

Well, they have this only season without having to worry about my were-pumas hunting them down...

But if they meet the Poo-poomas in the NC... well... history tells us that UNAM seems to get asphyxiated when it comes to the Big Game!*
