Basher here talkn trash about the NBBFL

For those that have been hiding under a rock, this is THE only league in fumbbl where all the players are strength 5 or more (drawn from all the big guys on normal and secret league teams).

The format is not for the weak... this is a crazy league where your 'normal' fumbbl game goes out the window. But, it is a S***Load of fun!

We can still take one more coach - pm the Commish (knine) if you're keen. And, we have about 6 spots for Season 2 (which is still a few months away).

Here is a rundown of how the teams stood after five games into our first season:

NFC South/West:

Atlanta Pelicans, coached by dieuraskel. Taking over San Francisco's record from the intra-division phase, Atlanta is in first place, but only just and is holding its own with a 2-1-2 record. Hot on Atlanta's heels, Carolina Panthera (spinball) and San Francisco Treatz (Forcephield) are on 18 and 17 points. MrCushtie's Seattle Sea Ostriches still have their heads in the sand and are struggling to get anything going. But, knowing MrCushtie, he's due to absolutely crush someone soon.

NFC East:

The Dull As Cows Boys (coach Squigadier) is on FIRE!!! 5-0-0 with a league leading 41 points (we get 5 points for a win and one point for each CAS). Second is Washington Commoners (bengreedy), 3rd - Nue York Giants (MediumThomas) and the newest coach in the league, Trickey with Birdtown Brothers (Philly) looking for his first win. I know it's early, buuuut, ... The way Dallas is going, these three need to be eyeing off a wild card playoff berth.

NFC North: Well, the commish is also on fire with MightyBlowta Claw Kings on 39 points (and one game short of Squigadier's Dallas). The MB Claw build is proving to be a wrecking machine with a league leading 20 CAS in just 4 games. Detroit Riots (Houseblackfyre) and Chicago Mummies of Da Midway (deurbroucq) are still well and truly in the hunt for the division with solid records and on 27 and 20 points. The Green Bay Stone Cold Killers aren't quite living up to their name with only 6 CAS in five games. Coach DaelaamCrafter is honing their skills and we can expect more carnage shortly.

AFC North:
Now this race is really tight with all coaches being within 10 points of each other (10 points is well and truly within reach every game). All coaches have at least one MB+2 player and carnage is the game with 50 CAS across the division. Good luck to the coaches: Pit Stealers (Fuel), Bashmore Ravens (RavensFan), Cincinnati Bengals (DrClaes) and the filler (commish - LARams).

AFC West:
Home of the co-equal league leading coach, Las Vegas Demons (Chrisdekok), also on 41 points. This division has the other honour of boasting to be the Carnage Kings - 58 CAS so far. The other three coaches are not far behind Vegas and could easily catch Chrisdekok within a game or two. Denver Bashin' Broncs (Greathorn), Killsas City (ritzi), and LA Bonehead Chargers (rayhell).

AFC South:
Coach Chrisdekok features again as a filler coach, sitting on 36 points with his Tennessee Fouly Titans (with an impressive 18 CAS). Both Indianapolis Imps (Linnanherra) and JacKILLERSonville (fol82) are within one game of catching the Titans, both on 26 points. After a slow start, the Arizona Sweet Teas (Jogrenaught) found their teeth and chalked up a win in their fifth game. Look for Jogre to find his mojo and live up to that great coach name.

AFC East:
Buffalo Drunk (puccios) and Nearly-New England Patriots (the Demon) are fighting it out for top spot with only a few points being the difference. Notably, New England's Tom Brady (Vamp Lord) has all the Patriot TDs.... funny that. Miami Killphins (grrrreindeer) have a decent CAS count, and that keeping them within striking distance of Buffalo, despite not having any wins! The New Yankee Jets (ben_awesome) need to get those jets fired up - only 2 CAS and no wins.... c'mon Ben!!!

And that's wrap. Basher will be back with another mid-season wrap-up once the playoff picture becomes clearer.

And, if you read this far and aren't a coach, c'mon, pm knine and sign up!!!

Only 5 Games to go in Season 1 of the NBBFL (a 16 game season with games every two weeks).

The standings have been updated. Here is a rundown of how the playoffs are shaping up:

NFC South+West: A ho-hum group with average numbers. New Orleans (DragonBallZac, 45 pts) is just ahead of Carolina (Spinball, 43) - tight race. Atlanta (dieuraskel 8 points behind) - maybe a wildcard. San Fran is probably not going to make the playoffs.

NFC East: The Cowboys (Squigadier) are on fire with about 4 CAS per game and only one TD against in 11 games: Dallas (85 - league leaders) can't be caught. Washington (DragonBallZac) on 38 points could be a wildcard.

NFC North: The Vikings (knine) are living up to their name (MightyBlow ClawKings) with about 5 CAS per game and a division leading 81 points: Minnesota probably can't be caught. Chicago (deurbroucq, 49) and Detroit (HouseBlackfyre, 40) are a chance for a wildcard. Green Bay is heading for the golf course.

NFC Wildcard - 2 teams (as it stands today): Chicago and Carolina would go through. Atlanta, Washington, and Detroit are all still very much in contention for a wildcard.

AFC North: Tight!!! LA Rams (knine, 60), Cinci (DrClaes, 56), Baltimore (Ravensfan, 54) are neck and neck. With those numbers, these teams would easily make the playoffs in the NFC, but, this Conference is really tough. Pittsburgh (Fuel, 36) is probably out of it.

AFC West: Vegas will probably win (Chrisdekok, 75). Wildcard contenders: KC (ritzi, 54) Denver (Greathorn, 44). LA (Chargers)(rayhell, 32) is probably out of it.

AFC East: Buffalo (55) probably wins this by gouging their opponents on their buffalo horns - almost 4 CAS per game. New England (The Demon, 33) with a miracle could make the wild card. Miami and NYJets - probably not making it.

AFC South: Tennessee has FIFTY-SEVEN Cas in 11 games, wow! Chrisdekok's 76pts is a solid lead, but Jacksonville (fol82, 56) and Indi (Linnanherra, 52) are both looking strong. Arizona has decided to forfeit all remaining games, so not making it.

AFC Wildcard - 4 teams (as of today): Cinci, Jacksonville, KC and Baltimore. This race is tight with Indi and Denver still easily within reach. Pittsburgh and NE could make it with a strong finish.

If you read this far, then you must be interested in Season 2, or, perhaps taking over a spot for the last five games of Season 1. Pm knine if interested.

Good luck to all!!!!
