What is the formula for the "cost" of buying your own players?

Also would you avoid playing teams with low popularity (so you get less money from the game)? And is that different for you with or without re-buy+cap?

An average team will likely end up with 3 or 4 DF, so an average game will have about 110k to share plus touchdowns. So most games will bring in 65-75k. Even playing a novice team will still likely mean 50-60k. Either way it seems plenty compared to the average in 2016 rules of what 35-40k?

The cost of buying you own players back is just their value inc gained skills plus 20k per season played.

The issue is that a winning team (15 wins) will only need to set aside 50k of treasury to meet the 1350 redraft budget and therefore can overdog regularly towards the end of the season. Meanwhile a losing team (15 losses) needs to start preparing to retain 200k of treasury to meet the 1350 cap.

I think Christer has found the best compromise there is at 1350 given the constraints but nothing is perfect.

No rebuy doesn't work with the skilling system. Supposedly BB3 will go this route but all it will do is favour those that play the most games to hold out their stat ups and important doubles

Well the 20k per season (if true) is enough to stop you trying to go all random skills on linemen, for a random optimized build, buying one season of players is 11*20k. This means you you'll see rule of five players, or even less, then all new rookies. Doing low TV stripped builds being very important.
