YEAR 7 - Death is coming Entrance statement into the League Yennla Eternals Blood Bowl Club : Ready to pay the price for peace ? The team is here to perform as a Blood Bowl competitive team but also to promote its valours in a world lacking of it : Life, Peace, Love ... at any costs ! Yennla Eternals has a good record as an astonishing team in his own province. It has amazed through skill, feints, great passes and dodging blow. It is now time for the team to move on a broader scale and build its legend internationally. End of the year 1/4/7 (25%) - 6 RIP - has Isha abandonned us ? Despite a good will the number of block sustained and the lack of skilled player ended in real tragedy for the team. The coach - former Old lady of the old way - yelling at the girls to go forth did not helped. "Have you not faith in Isha" would be her saying. During summer, the team played against high TV skaven teams who had an easy job in entangling the rooky isha team. Only Star player Tom 'bn' Dilgn did an hommage to Isha by crushing the "Rotfall Ironworks Rocketeers" (2-0) all by himself, breaking enough squishy jaws and making his way up to the TD line (https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4270178). Most of the games however, the team was halved at half time. On top of it, not being experienced enough the remaining elves were like mouses into a cat den. Then the drama happened. Isha turned her eyes away from the team and 6 deaths had to be endured in 5 matches. The matches turned into a struggle for survival. Lone rangers being called and lauched toward the opponent team while regular players tried to cow away the best they could, watching and learning from the lone rangers; what they were doing right and what made them eat dust and blood. Ultimatly, the goal was set. Getting back the favors of Isha by learning the most skills possible in order to bring back the trophy one day. Only then deaths endured would have had a purpose and the truth brought to light. Homage to the sisters of Isha Summer : Autumn : Achievements CIBBL – Y7, Autumn – Dust Division Completions : 5 completions Awarded to best players of Dust division tournament. YEAR 8 - You'll live, you'll learn Begining of the Year Back to training ! The Old lady of the old way's being sacked from her position as a coach, Wanderwin - a new coach with more international experience - came from Ulthuan into the forest pitch. Seeing the lack of experienced players and the graveyard of previous season, a sound approach to the new season was raised. "Do not try to win ... yet" "Be smart and look for the way, you will ultimatly find it in your heart, and as one this team will raise to Isha" The wisdom and call for justice was enough to remobilise the team, no more win but more skills was to be looked after. End of the year 5/5/12 (34%) - 3 RIP / 3 RETIREMENTS - the trees bloom At the end of the season, enough was made in order to get the right defensive skills to the right elves. The training being in two folds, dodging blows in a gastly way, blocking hits as a rock. The team did not suffer passively but could move around the pitch. That was not enough to please Isha, but enough for coach Wanderwin to smirk. A foul hope or the far sight of a visionneer ? Anyway, on paper the result was still a failure, having lost most matches. Only the summer season was a mid success with 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses, finishing 3rd. But being last of the Cloth Division in autumn just proved how much remained to achieve. The offensive skills are lacking the players for them to achieve more frequent completion. So far 2 Great Sylph have been hired in order to fulfill the duty but both failed short with one having been killed last season and Echo being injured to the extend of no return. Only the Naiad Nerina stood appart with her punch having been strenghten during a Oak ritual at the sacred heart clearing. The bodies are now strong and up to the CIBBL standards. However we still lake offensive players who can score efficiently or sneak the ball away from opponents hands. We are raising our expectation but will mainly focus in improving those key players who could increase the potential of the team in the long run. End of the year 6/8/7 (48%) - 4 RIP / 3 RETIREMENTS - A roller coaster year This year went from bad to better for the ladies. Spring season recorded the same results as previous years (4th). Athel Loren hosting two of the best teams in the league it was still hard to make a break through, but experience is still valued for what it is and stars would start bloooming and wither all year long. The Summer season however has been cruel and a complete desaster. The ladies were out of their mind most of the games, finishing last of their division. Only against Karak Azog Outlaws (Goblins) did they look to get a chance to win but an ugly greenish butterfly flapping what should be wings at the fring of the world made a come back possible, cascading odds into an improbable turn of event, and creating a 2-3 loss (https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4381850). In stark contrast, the Autumn season started great, recording 3 wins in the first 4 matches. Now the magic duo Béroé to get the ball and Chrysopeleia to score worked like a charm and the cup of granit division started to be a thing in the mind of this bunch of losers. However reality hooked back, and this pair of mighty stars got purged from the league during a tragic encounter against the Harbingers of Gaia (Elemental - Earth) (https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4395991). The loss of this magic duo made the team struggle during the remaining of the season, but the ladies hold their ground till the end, having loss no game for the first time during an entire season and finishing 3rd. While there is a rework to do, the cooking of the right recipie is starting to emerge. The team is now looking for such a magic duo to come forth again. Waiting for them, the remaining of the squad is ready to keep holding ground against any foe next year. End of the year 7/5/8 (48%) - 1 RIP / 3 RETIREMENTS - stable performance This year was consistent. The winrate has been the same has previous year. If you look at the bottom half of the glass it is full and no drawback happened. But if you look at the top of the glass it is still as empty as it was last year. Hence no improvement were made. The good points being : - We could achieve a win against Wraith of Woes (Dryad) during Spring for the first time this year finishing 3rd. So we need to focus next year in improving recognition on our own division. - Autumn was a good performance with more wins compared to losses and we could achieve better if against Shield of Settra (Khemri), we did better prevent a skeleton to make a long bomb pass for a draw and against Lump an' da Snots (Snotling) if we managed better choping of this army. - Only 1 death this year, thanks to Isha The bad point being : - We had more losses during Summer compared to wins. Big upset against Queen Amphinome's Revenge (Nautican) with so much being launch toward Idmon and this crester always being able to stand up, catch the ball and keep moving forward. Not sure how to deal with him yet. Not even mighty blow seems to work except for making him laugh with his deep throaty shriek. - Strategical positionning need to be improved while so often failing short for not being at the exact correct spot or being too optimistic about 2+ dodges. - Loss of the mighty Merope who was doing so much for the team. She was a terror when trying to recover the ball, a good fighter against stunties and the best scorer. Have a good day. 7/4/5 (56%) - 2 RIP / 0 RETIREMENTS - chasing success What a year ; which promised so much but failed short to deliver at the end ! First of all, Lady First picking at the coaching role with an advanced rooster has been able to deliver a strong performance on a regular basis. The Spring season proved one more time being the most challenging sequence of the year and despite an heroic 2 - 2 against Modryn's Midnight Meddlers (Wood Elves) the season was a defeat. The Summer and Autumn however were a success failing short to win the trophy. During summer a success against Graelings Garbagemen (Daemons of Nurgle) would have secure the trophy, but unfortunatly the intensity of the match was too much with too many elves being removed from the field to bring Isha outside of grandfather's grip. During Autumn season a win against Ynys Morien Mabsantwyr (Four Nations ) would have suffise to prevail, but keeping track of all the diving tackle drained the energy of the team to exhaustion before the end of the game (maybe even before starting the second half). So, the same performance need to be kept next year and a way to accomplish the last mile must be found for Isha's justice to bear the divine fruit of wi.... (wind blowing sound).
