The Beginning
A historic franchise having existed since 936 AK (after Khaine) as the Karond Kar Dark Rams. The team remained in Karand Kar until 946 when team owner/high priest Agarath Reeves urged the league commissioner to allow them to relocate to Har Ganeth despite winning the NBFL the championship the previous season. The reason according to Reeves was ,"Khaine's dark energy will flow through my team better if we are located in Har Ganeth." Also, it probably helped that the current mayor of Har Ganeth, Fletcher Bagrond, bribed the current commissioner 500,000 gold pieces to allow the relocation.

The Har Ganeth Dark Rams prospered in Har Ganeth in their new massive stadium known as the Coliseum, named as such because it was also used as a literal coliseum for dark demonic sacrifices. During their time playing at the Coliseum, the Dark Rams won an NBFL championship in 951 with Bob Wilddusk at the helm. But, the team would struggle in the years following the championship. The team suffered many losing seasons and several casualties during this period.

The Feasome-st Foursome
It wasn't until the 960s when the "Fearsome-st Foursome" started terrorizing the league both on and off the field. The foursome consisted of Reriveaz Grier, Merlin the Unholy, Lamarond Losthunter, and Deacon Jones. The Fearsome-st Foursome would punish offenses for almost a decade claiming the lives of countless elves, dwarves, orcs, humans, and other races of the league. However, the most famous incident involving the Fearsome-est Foursome probably happened off the field. Before a divisional match versus the Seatle C Orcs, the Foursome allegedly kidnapped the opposing owner and ransomed him back to the opposing team and with the funds from the ransom purchased a wizard that end up being the deciding factor in the match. Although the team would never win a playoff, no team they ever faced in the playoffs won their following match.

The Dark Years
The Dark Rams were unimpressive in the decade and a half following Deacon Jones' retirement and transformation into a Greater Demon. The team only won their division twice from 971-988. The team went through several abysmal coaches including Chuck Knoxal, who was famously sacrificed by his own players during a match with the San Francisco 69s. The sacrifice was unsuccessful in summoning a demon and the loss locked up the division for the 69s.

In 1989 everything seemed to be changing for the better. The new passer Jimgrad Everett lead the team to an 11-5 season. The defense was playing well and the ground game was punishing even the largest of orc defensive lines. However, the change seemed to be short lived. During the 989 NFC Championship against the San Francisco 69s, the team suffered a heart breaking defeat that it would never come back from losing 0-6. Rice Jerry and Montana Joe embarrassed the Dark Rams. scoring 4 of the 6 TDs.

The Rebirth, Success, and Failure in Ghrond
The Dark Rams would only win a handful of games in the years leading up to the 995 relocation of the team to Ghrond despite countless coaching sacrifices. In Ghrond, the Dark Rams became an offensive powerhouse unlike any team had before them and in a very short time. They became known as the "Greatest Show on Grass" lead by Kurt Wornarth and Marshall Faulkith. The team's success would culminate in winning the Superbowl in 999.

After the 999 Superbowl, the Dark Rams were followed by another decade of failure with even more coaches sacrificed than before leading up to the great sacrifice of 1009. After the death of the witch elf owner and former player Georgia Frontiere, the entire team was sacrificed including the entire coaching staff, trainers, the apothecary, cheerleaders, grounds keepers, and everyone else affiliated with the team. Even the water boy was sacrificed to Khaine. Apparently every staff and player's contract stated that if Madame Frontiere died while under contract, they would be sacrificed. Her will stated," if I can't see my team play, no one will!"

The New Guy
Fortunately, the team was bought for next to nothing by a person only known as Dr. W. Hog. Dr. Hog as put considerable money into reviving the team and hopes to bring them back to their former glory with sound drafting, dirty deals, and good bone crushing Bloodbowl.
