In the first game we saw a clinical 1-0 win but at some cost. Dean Windass was killed in the stands as violence in BB continued at expected levels. Paul Jewell scored with Stuart McCall voted MOM.
In a tight second game, Parkinson and Lawrence got stuck in but after going 2-0 down Jewell's TD wasnt quite enough to tie the game up.
A defensive score started the game and we never looked back, scoring KO after KO the only unfortunate moment was the last ditch tackle on Paul Jewell to deny him a marvelous hattrick. This was followed up with a rediculous interception from Jamie Lawrence rising up against the human catcher. 2-0 final score. Great performance.
Up against a Kemri team we got it all wrong, McCall hurt a skeleton and thats as good as it got. We got tyed up around the big guys all game, not much happened and in the end had a 50/50 shot at a draw but the ball scattered the wrong way. Tactically awful game though.
A strange game followed against a sqaud of vampires. We never got to grips with hypnotic glare and although McCall had his moments he went missing for large parts of the game. We lost 2-0. It wasnt that bad though and without a bad error late in the second it may have been a draw.
Ogres next up and McCall set about removing the weak opposition players, unfortunately he was stopped in his tracks by a vicious fowl straight after his first casualty. Paul Jewell messed about too long in the end zone and tripped over a little snotling meaning the first half ended scoreless. The second half was a frustrating affair as neither side really got hold of each other and fouls were mounting up. A late TD for the opposition ended the game 1-0.
In a same race game it was Kamara that stepped up, killing a man in the opening stages of the game. Despite the storming start we went in at half time 0-0 after some poor ball handling skills. The team fought on but things seemed to be going against them when they went 1-0 down in the opening stages of the second half. Paul Jewell KO'd the opposition star allowing Omar Daley to score a game tying TD in the dying moments. The fans were so incensed when the ref began to blow his whistle that they rioted. In the commotion Jewell grabbed the ball and ran into the endzone. Game Over 2-1. An amazing comeback victory.
In a massively rain affected game, McCall tackled hard but mainly the guys struggled with wet conditions. Barely got a hand on the ball and struggled to keep up with opponents. 2-0
In a strange game it was 3 defensive TD's in a row that left the Bantams facing a 2-1 deficit deep in the final moments. Despite taking out quite a few players they were unable to capitalise with poor ball security the problems, aswell as clear mistakes on the direction of players. 3-1 defeat at the close.
McCall started the next game like a train and ended up with 4 casualties. MOM Omar Daley scored one and injured one but it was not quite enough as we had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Drawn against a Nurgle team and after winning the toss the boys set about the dangerous opposition. Unable to gain any real traction the boys were rocked when John Hendrie was despatched from this universe. Daley fought through like a trooper for the opening score but casualties were mounting. Early in the second half we ended up with only 5 players against 11 in defence. With some dogged play and legendary performances from Blake and Jewell they fought through. 1-0 and a wonderful win.
Daley grabbed the games only score as our tight man marking managed to hold the opposition team out for a full 8 turns, despite 4 players lying injured on the sideline for much of the half. McCall had another frustrating game having started well. 1-0 win
Blake and Molenaar tried in vain as the opposition star player proved elusive. Jewell scored a TD and very nearly got 2 in 2 turns but unfortunately he missed out and the score ended 4-1.
Stuart McCall went down after a heavy tackle in the first moments of the game and the teams heads dropped. By half time they were quivering wrecks and in the next turn another player went down. They were all for quitting the game but McCall stood up and although 3-0 down he led the team and Jewell scored a consolation TD.
Jewell got knocked out in the first half and never recovered. This put us on the back foot the entire game as Blake was also out of the game. McCall got a couple of good tackles in but it was a poor quality game which ended as a 2-0 defeat.
As ever a bruising encounter for the opponents as all 4 star players for the opposition were clinically taken out of the game resulting in an opening half score. The second half saw a recovery but with the game poised at 1-1 the bantams ran out of offensive tackles which meant the opening for Jewell was squandered and the game ended a 1-1 draw.
James Hanson continued some good form but McCall had a shocker, chasing the draw we conceded a late score to make it 2-0 loss.
A near perfect performance results in a 1-0 loss, a lucky bounce off the kick off in the second half the only score. The boys fought bravely but to no avail.
Stuart McCall started fast taking out 2 big defenders for our opponents. This allowed Paul Jewell to then do all the running and score the only TD. Ces Podd was killed after inflicting a grievous injury on one of his opponents.
Devante Cole played like a **** getting knocked out twice against women. 2-0 loss.
Paul Jewell bagged a hattrick as we took apart an orc team more interested in playing man before ball (and losing at that too). 3-0
Paul Jewell got a score but a combination of awful play and more awful play saw a potential win lost by management. 2-1 loss
Worst luck ever as we lost 3-0, McCall scored a hattrick of casualty though.
Best luck ever, 3-0 win as Beagrie and Lawrence wreaked havoc, Daley got on the scoresheet and Paul Jewell completed passes, scored a brace and killed a man. A team started with 14 players and was left with 1. EPIC.
All the luck had to run out and a 2-0 loss with 3 casualties left us with nothing to cheer atall.
Jamie Lawrence performed admirably as on a wet and gloomy day we won comfortably 1-0 with the opponents barely touching the ball. Two deaths for the opponents gave some cheer to our fans.
In a brutal local derby we ended the game with 3 players standing. Lee Mills career was ended and Beagrie got a blood hattrick. We lost 1-0 but we stood up and fought so the fans respected that.
McCall, Richmond and Beags took 7 players out between them as Blake scored twice in a 3-0 win.
Jewell was a late withdrawal through injury and in the first half we lost our other star ball players. 1-0 down and in the mire we forced a final minute score with super sub lee etherington getting his first. 1-1 draw.
Great start to the following game before the team just got up and left, there was not even a score on the board. Poor and a shame, but a win.
The team were badly beat up after an incredibly lucky opponent basically took the entire team out. Our boys fought and deserved a draw but not a single bit of fortune came their way. 2-1 loss
Beagrie and Lawrence took 7 players out between them as the opponents ended the game with 12 injuries. 3-0 as Blake bagged a brace.
In a scrappy wet game everyone got stuck in and Lee Mills got a match winning score right at the final whistle, 1-0.
3 different scorers and Beags got a hattrick of cas as we thumped a weak team 4-0. Wells got a bad injury though.
Losing the toss gave us a bad feeling, this was proved right as we were beaten off the pitch, losing 3-0 and lucky to still have our lives.
Robbie Blake got an injury time winner after Lawrence got a hattrick of cas and Molenaar killed a man. 1-0
Molenaar got stuck in but the opponents just would quit. We lost late on 1-0 after missing an open goal in the first half.
Lee Mills was killed as Lawrence and Wells went on a spree of their own, The game ended a draw after a late ball handling error ruined the chances of a winner. 1-1 draw
Wells killed a man on his way to a hattrick of cas. Daley scored a late winner. 1-0.
On a wintery day Daley ran two scores in as Lawrence and Beagrie injured 2 each as our line ran amok. 2-0 win. Kamara finally perished after a scrappy time with us.
The first half started well with 4 opposition players down, unfortunately not out, we failed to be clinical and ko'd half the team. 1-0 up after a Jewell score but the opposition now outnumbered us, we were battered but still had a chance at winning before a very lucky attack against us saw us lose 2-1.
Robert Molenaar went crazy maiming 4 players as Daley and Jewell scored in a 2-0 win.
Stuart McCall was killed and Beagrie crocked. Bad game, 2-0 loss.
Jamie Lawrence got a hattrick of cas, nothing else went well though 2-0 loss and Daley was killed.
Wells, Lawrence and Molenaar went mad with blood all over the pitch, however our opponents proved too slippery, and scored a couple of lucky scores and a third early in the second, Blake got one back but it was too late. 3-1 loss.
After 3 devastating games we lost the team, the soul was ripped out. 2 left in disgust, another dead. 12 blocks, 8 injuries, 2 stuns, what the nuffle is that.
Another truly awful game, nothing going for us, Lawrence killed a man in sheer frustration. 2-0 loss.
