From the deepest caves of Tapanui come the off spring of a lord Shad bolt.

The rolling plains of the southern most reaches of Oceania was meant to be perfect pasture land for the human travelers looking for a new start.

Little in the brochures pointed to the fact these hills were swarming with Squig of all size and ilk. The humans quickly hunted them to near extinction as they chased the bipeds around the land. A small enclave remained though with South paw farm taking the squigs in for experimental agility courses. Originally the idea was to use them to drive livestock. Unfortunately this was the last thing on their mind and they made quick meals of their human handlers and livestock.

An astute young mind realised that the squigs could only really be handled by a simpler mind. He enlisted the help of a goblin tribe and enslaved them to handle the beasts in a rolling circus of cruelty. The crowds were wowed but the revenue started to dry up. Watching Squig hoppers and whirling squigs defecating on Goblins is only entertaining for so long. Their master saw one chasing a football and wa la the South Paw stormers were turned into a traveling low league Bloodbowl side.

They haven't been naturals to the game but they certianily enjoy eating their opponents and own team.

Buckle in it is going to be a hell of a ride.

Every season the Pink slipper award is awarded to the Squig herder who does the most for services to sqig herding.

In their inaugural season this award goes to Jimmy White.
