Career History

Season 4 was the inaugural season for Glassjaw Strangers, and they didn't embarrass themselves against their more-established brethren. Only a late dip in form saw them miss promotion, taking just 2pts from the last 3 games. Scoring is becoming a problem for this team and must be resolved before they can claim a more prominent position in the league.
Promoted to League One on appeal after a team from above was thrown out of the league, the Strangers found their winning ways again (just) and managed to grind out the necessary results (aided by other fixtures) to secure 3rd place (and PROMOTION) on the final matchday. Championship, here we come!
Season 6 placed the Strangers in the Championship with some of the most brutal teams in the OBBA. Struggling through a few tough games, they manage to stave off relegation with a win in the last week, stealing 4th place as they do so.
Post-season, it appears they have been promoted to the Prem following financial irregularites in the Houston Rats account books.
Season 7 saw the Strangers thrust into the Premiership. Ultimate goal for the season (achieved) was for the team to survive. Secondary goal (failed) was to avoid relelgation. Entering the last game with a mathematical possibility of staying up, they capitulated woefully against Sera's deadites. Scant consolation is that Sera was also dragged down into the Championship. It seems Nuffle will allow our chance for vengeance in Season 8.
Season 8 sees the Strangers back down in the Championship once more. It became quickly apparent that they were heading for back-to-back relegation and propped up the table for many weeks before saving some grace in the final round, elevating themselves to 6th place. Another dismal season began with the death of the Beast, littered with a few wins and ultimately just failing the stave off relegation to League Two :( A series of cRIPpling results meant the team was reduced in numbers after every game, rather than strengthened. It is questionable if the team will return for Season 11.Papa Nurgle was so infuriated by the incompetence of the team that he ordered them on a crusade through the Old World to gather strength (by weakening everyone else) and await the dawning of a new age of Blood Bowl. After a long wait CRP finally arrived. After a year's sabbatical spreading the word (and other things) of Nurgle to the corners of the Old World, the Strangers are back to renew some old s(c)ores in OBBA Season 12.
Initial reports speculate that the team is short of match fitness and some players look like they'll struggle to last till the final whistle.		A good strong team performance this season even fielding reserves in some games! A slight stutter towards the end meant having to settle for 2nd place, which was still enough to secure promotion to the Championship. S13 ended with a decent 3-match cup run too, only being beaten by the eventual winners Blodgespur.Back in the Championship with good momentum going into the new season. An extended Championship season was too much for the Strangers and they barely escaped relegation. This pitiful display provided good ammunition for the coach to fire up the players for the ensuing OBBA Cup -- so much so that Glassjaw Strangers won their first ever OBBA silverware!Season 14 saw two events never before seen in Glassjaw Strangers history -- they won their first ever OBBA silverware, and they were neither relegated nor promoted. Uncharted territory indeed!

What will happen in Season 15? The crowd can hardly wait!

PS: It seems this "staying in the same division" lark was too much for some people so Strangers find themselves in the Prem once more :)
